Whereas, for PG level courses, candidates must secure valid scores in accepted entrance exams such as JEE Main, CUET UG/PG, CAT/MAT/AIMA and other national-level examinations suitable for the chosen course.
Not all course admissions at NEHU University Shillong are based on CUET. BTech admissions are based on JEE Main. For various courses like BCA, BA, BSc, and others, CUET is accepted by the NEHU University Shillong. CUET (Common University Entrance Test) is an all-India level entrance examination which is conducted by NTA (National Testing Agency) for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Hi! If you want to take admission in B.Sc B.Ed in NEHU, Shillong, you need to take the NCET exam conducted by NTA and apply online via NEHU's portal. Eligibility is 10+2 with 50% if Gen or 45% for sc/st. Just register yourself, pay the fees and wait for the merit list.

No, you cannot pursue MA Sociology at NEHU Shillong without CUET.
NEHU Shillong requires CUET PG scores for admission to all PG programmes including MA Sociology. The university has made CUET mandatory for UG and PG admissions.
CUET PG 2025 application deadline has been extended to February 8, 2025.
