Guwahati University has peer review journals, internal quality assurance cell, Anthropological Museum, Botanical Garden,  GU Astronomical Observatory,  GU Academic Repository, and others. 

Guwahati University offers 100+ UG, PG Diploma Certificate and doctoral courses. Additionally, it also has 340+ affiliated colleges that offer UG and PG courses in the faculty members of Arts, Science, Commerce, Law, and Engineering. It also has an Institute of Distance and Open Learning (IDOL) to offer distance learning programmes to the students. Gauhati University admission process is completely online; for all PG courses, it is subject to candidates' performance in the Offline Entrance Test, conducted by the university.
