Students must go through the Panjab University CHD-conducted/ national-level entrances and then appear for the university-level selection rounds for final admission at Panjab University.

The highest package offered to the Engineering batch 2025 was INR 24 LPA. On the other hand, the highest salary offered to the MBA students during Punjab University placements 2025 was also INR 24 LPA.  

The highest package offered in the recent placements is not out yet. However, the NIRF report 2023 has revealed the 2022 median package details. The highest median package for the 2022 passing out batch was INR 8 LPA and was offered to LLM students. After JEE session 2 is completed, only those candidates who are aiming for IITs need to start preparing for JEE Advanced after clearing JEE Main. Those who are above the 98th percentile should start preparing for JEE Advanced as soon as possible. Those below this, between the 95th and 98th percentile, should focus on attempting more mock tests and previous year question papers so that they have a better chance of clearing JEE Advanced

The University has industry-experts within the faculty that tend to pay equal amount of attention on the students and provide them with the guidance required. The faculty is highly supportive during semester exams and regarding other events such as attendance. 

The Panjab University CAT Cutoff 2024 for the General category students under the All India quota was 85 percentile overall and 85 sectional for admission to the MBA in Human Resource course. For admission to the Master of Business Administration programme, the cutoff was the same, at 85 percentile overall and 50 sectional.
