On Fees and Eligibility
Q:   Is PES University costly?
A:

Although PES University is a little costly, it is known to give good education to the students. The fees for various PES University courses are between INR 2 and INR 22.5 lakhs. BTech and B.Des have higher fees at the undergraduate level.

Q:   Is there an advance payment discount layout available to reduce the total MBBS course fees at PESUIMSR?
A:

MBBS candidates can claim a 10% tuition fee discount on their remaining 3.5 years of study. They would need to pay the full 4.5-year balance upfront right after paying their first-year fees.

Q:   Is there any extra administrative components that a candidate needs to clear over and above tuition fees at PES University Bangalore?
A:

The baseline fee at PES University Bangalore applies strictly to students who secure slots via competitive merit tracks, like the JEE Main or PES Quotas. Gaining entry through these official channels locks in the standard annual rates established for the cycle. Applicants entering through alternative routes have to pay higher fee.

Q:   What is the maximum cutoff for PES University admissions?
A:

PES University KCET Cutoff 2026 has been released for admission to the BTech course among various categories under the Home State and All India quota. For the General AI category, the maximum cutoff accepted in Round 1 for the BTech CSE course was 628. To know the maximum cutoff ranks for other specialisations, check the table below.

My college experience as a 3rd-year student.
Placements: Placements at PES University are decent overall. The experience varies depending on the branch and individual preparation. For Computer Science students the current placement situation is quite competitive. It can be challenging so students need strong coding skills, projects, internships, and consistent preparation to stand out. ECE placements are comparatively decent with opportunities available in both core and software-related roles. The placement cell conducts recruitment drives and placement-related activities to help students prepare for companies. Placements are reasonable but students should not depend entirely on the college and should actively build their skills throughout the course.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure at PES University Electronic City is average but adequate for day-to-day academic requirements. Campus has separate academic blocks with classrooms, laboratories, a library, seminar halls, and other facilities required for engineering students. Classrooms are generally equipped with the necessary audio-visual facilities for lectures. Labs provide students with practical exposure related to their courses. The campus is reasonably well maintained. But the overall infrastructure does not feel particularly exceptional compared with some other engineering campuses.
Faculty: Faculty at PES University is a mixed experience, with some teachers being very good while others may be average. Most faculty members have good academic knowledge. They are capable of explaining the subjects well. The teaching methods usually include PPTs, board work, examples, and practical explanations depending on the subject and teacher. Their approachability also depends a lot on how students reach out to them. If you are proactive and communicate properly, many teachers are willing to help with doubts and academic problems. Overall, faculty experience is similar to most engineering colleges, with both excellent and average teachers.
Other: I chose this course because of my interest in technology and Computer Science. The syllabus is one of the strongest aspects, and the peer group is good. Faculty members are generally helpful if approached properly, although the paper correction can be strict. Campus life is average. Clubs and activities are available but events and fests need improvement. Sports facilities are limited but the gym and badminton court are good. College is academically strong but can improve its campus life, events, sports, and student experience.

The college is pretty good and we have a lot of stuff that we can do in college.
Placements: I have not passed out here but from what I have heard from my senior the cut-off percentage we have to score above 7.5 to be eligible for a placement and the companies are very likely, I think basic so I'll just find out when it's my turn package is 36 LPA.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure for my course is actually pretty good. We have air conditioning in the class. We have a marked TV, a blackboard, and a whiteboard. We have a pretty good Wi-Fi and even the library is pretty useful because it contains all the details that we required.
Faculty: The teachers, a few of them are very helpful and they are very knowledgeable. The teaching quality I think I would give it like a four out of 5. The course curriculum is relevant and I think it does make us industry-ready because we learn about financial reporting and corporate reporting in practice. The semester exams are not that difficult if you study. The pass percentage is just that you don't have to fail. The teachers are also pretty good.
Other: I chose this course because I wanted to do it and I don't think I regret joining PES I think I would need more faculty members because we have only 3 for my course. About the fest we do have a lot of presence happening in the college all the time and we have a fest every August and April. The campus is pretty huge so it is nice. The campus surroundings could be better as it is on the main road.

Decent college and worth the price.
Placements: Placements are one of the strong points of PES University. An average of 60-70 students got placed in the previous year. The top recruiting companies that come here are Apple and Nvidia. Fintech companies like Goldman Sachs also come and there are several top roles that they offer based on your skill set.
Infrastructure: In the Electronic City campus, it is not particularly the best infrastructure but the campus is big and has a hospital. The location has good accessibility to the metro, so commuting from farther distances is good. We have our own Wi-Fi here and the library is also decent.
Faculty: It's a little harder to score here compared to other colleges since they have become more rigorous and no longer take the best of 3 exams out of 5 anymore, instead, it is just 2 bigger exams for internals. If you study well, you can score easily and it is rewarding with their scholarships.

Review of PES University EC Campus.
Placements: The college provides a very good atmosphere for placements. The data on the internet shows that the average package is around 17 LPA, but the actual package is around 10 LPA, which is not bad compared to other colleges in Bengaluru. Also, the combined placement of both campuses gives an edge over other colleges.
Infrastructure: The hostel facility is decent. The food is also decent. Those who have already stayed in other hostels will not face any challenges or difficulties. Overall, the infrastructure and food are decent. Snacks are average and should be improved. Apart from that, everything else is fine.
Faculty: Since the college is autonomous and not completely governed under VTU, the curriculum and exam pattern keep changing from time to time as per industry requirements. The syllabus is also updated to keep the learning relevant to the industry.
Other: The campus life is good, and the crowd is decent.

Placements are good, but not sure what happens next.
Placements: 100% placement ratio. The highest package in 2025 was 60 LPA. The average was 12 LPA. The lowest was 6–7 LPA. Companies like Amazon, Google, Infosys, etc., visit the campus. Around 70% of students get internships in many top companies. Overall, placements are good compared to other colleges. If we want good packages, we need to work hard on our skills while maintaining a good CGPA of around 8.5.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is pretty slow, but labs and classrooms are excellent. The library is also good. The hostel is actually good. Food is okay and sometimes very good. Medical facilities are also good. Sports are available based on interest. The college is in Electronic City, so transportation is expensive.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified, well-educated, and knowledgeable. Overall teaching is above average. The course is pretty good compared to other colleges. It is industry relevant. Semester exams are really hard. The pass percentage is around 95%. Internals are also tough because instead of paragraph writing, we have MCQs, which makes the paper harder. All exams are conducted in CBT mode. No physical papers are given.

Good for KCET students. Planning for CSE.
Placements: One thing is, if you can't maintain a CGPA greater than 8.75, then you are not eligible for the tier 1 companies. Placement for other branches is really horrible(It's only good for CSE). You have to wait for a long time for tier 2 if your CGPA is less than 8.50.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is really good and modern. The infrastructure for other branches is not good, it is good for CSE only. They do conduct hackathons, challenges, etc. They have numerous clubs, and they provide Wi-Fi across all buildings. Libraries are really good.
Faculty: Teachers are good, but not all. The curriculum is really good, they keep updating your syllabus. They will make you industry-ready. Exams are tough, not tough but not easy, you have to work hard if you want to get good marks. They also have the best grading system, it will favour you only if you work hard.
Other: They also provide an option to change the branch if you get a certain CGPA that they have set for the first year, then you can change your branch.
