Good Placements, Great Exposure, but Super Difficult Exams.
Placements: Around 80% were placed and the highest package was like 50 LPA and the lowest was 3 LPA. Top companies like Google, Microsoft, Morgan Stanley, and Siemens. The top roles were SDE and data analyst. Core companies were a little less for mechanical and electrical, but for computer science, it was good.
Infrastructure: The hostel is pretty much okayish, not so good I would say because I have seen my friends complaining about the hostel food and all, and also they are building a new hostel now. Wi-Fi, sports, and games are always there, but unfortunately, I am not in the hostel, so I don't know what exactly is happening there.
Faculty: The professors are well experienced and knowledgeable, and they are very friendly. The teaching quality is good. But when it comes to the curriculum, it is equivalent to IIT, and the exams are very difficult. Pass percentage is around 90%. So buckle up, folks.

The best facilities and opportunities to grow as an individual happen at PES UNIVERSITY.
Placements: One of the main reasons why parents and students in Karnataka prefer PES is because of its placements. Our college offers all kinds of placements (TIER 1,2,3 ) the highest package offered was 1.2 crore per annum last year. In my course majortiy of the students got jobs and internships in BENZ, PWC, RELIANCE etc.
Infrastructure: Our entire college is equipped with state of the art labs. We have labs on every floor and every lab has a capacity of 70 We have Wi-Fi throughout campus. WE have 2 libraries with all genres and you can borrow books home as well. The hostel has spacious rooms and the hostel food is yummy. Its not bland. They change the food everyday and hence it does not get repetitive.
Faculty: The teaching quality at PES is amazing. They undergo intense training sessions and make sure the quality of teaching is up to date. PES follows their own curriculum as they are an autonomous university. Hence their course content is up to date The exams are pretty difficult- they are based solely on the concepts taught in class.
Other: I chose mechanical engineering because I love the Physics and Motion involved with machines. I guess if we could have more exposure to the industrial world then that would really be helpful.

If you can afford to pay the high fees, you can join this college.
Placements: For the mechanical course, the placement statistics are less compared to other branches like CS and IT. I feel that in engineering colleges of Bangalore, CS and IT branches have better placement statistics when compared with other branches. The average percentage in the mechanical course is 60-65%. The salary offered is 3.6 LPA, and the highest package in mechanical is around 8-10 LPA.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure and its maintenance are very good. If any damages happen in the building, it is repaired with immediate effect. In indoor games, there are facilities like table tennis, carrom and chess. In outdoor games, one can play lawn tennis, cricket, football, badminton, basketball and volleyball. There is also a gym.
Faculty: Most of the professors are helpful to students except a few. They are ready to solve our doubts during classes and also after the class hours. The syllabus seems to be comparatively older, but this is not the problem of PES only but also most of the Indian universities. If you study well, I think you can easily score 9+SGPA.
Other: Overall, campus life is good. From time to time, various kinds of competitions are organised at college and inter-college levels. So, one gets the opportunity to meet other college's students, which is a good thing itself. Tech fest and cultural fest are organised once a year which is quite amusing itself. Apart from theoretical learning, college should emphasize practical learning to make them ready once they get into a job.

The college has good infrastructure, but education is not up to the mark.
Placements: Not many core companies come for hiring mechanical engineering students. IT companies do take mechanical engineering students for training and apprenticeship but not for core jobs. The teaching effectiveness that I went through in the past 4 years is good with lecturers with PhDs.
Infrastructure: The boys' hostel has 3 different mess facilities, and the students have to stand in a queue to get the most desirable mess. The students who do not stand in the queue will, by default, get the poor quality mess which is unfair for students, as they are paying the same fees for food and accommodation.
Faculty: The curriculum is relevant but not up to the current market of engineering companies. The mechanical design software taught in the university is kind of outdated and not used in any industries as of now. Teachers do possess personal revenge on students and affect their grades, being honest.

Good infrastructure and excellent teaching.
Placements: More than 80% students are placed in our campus and the rest opt for higher studies in the same line of study or different. The highest package a student for PESU has received is 1.5 crores pa. The lowest doesn't go below 4 lpa. Top recruiting companies are Microsoft, Google, Infosys etc. Many students get to do internship as a part of curriculum in the 4th year.
Infrastructure: The Wi-Fi in the college campus offers a high-speed connection with access to only limited applications so it's not misused. It is mandatory to sign in to get access to Wi-Fi. Labs are well-equipped with the required software and hardware machines. Library has a variety of books to go read and also there is a lending library. The hostel is good. They clean it almost everyday. The food is slightly dull and the Wi-Fi is a bit slow. There are medical facilities available as a small clinic with a doctor. There is a two floor indoor gym.
Faculty: The teachers are very qualified and they have an immense knowledge in the course they teach. Many of the lectures have done Ph.D. in the courses. The teaching quality is excellent. The course curriculum is relevant to the real world scenario and it helps the students get industry ready. The semester exams vary from easy to medium to highly difficult in a single paper. Mostly difficult.
Other: There are a lot of clubs in the campus. Everything will be explained in the orientation before the admission process. I highly recommend you attend to get a clear cut idea.

I am highly satisfied with the college.
Placements: PES University offers various courses like bachelor of engineering in mechanical, electrical, CS, BBA, and MBA. The highest salary package offered in the previous year was 10 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was 3 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Infosys, Accenture, BMW, Benz, and many more.
Infrastructure: The quality of food served is quite good and healthy. The infrastructure of the campus is very good. The campus is huge and it has a library, various labs, and sports. It also encourages various sports. There is a basketball court and badminton indoor court as well as a cricket stadium and various indoor games.
Faculty: The pass percentage is 32% in every semester. The curriculum of the course is done in such a way that it prepares students not only for exams but also for industries. It also conducts various industry visits so that it helps students to know about the industry environment.

It has a very good infrastructure. Facilities are average in our branch with moderate placements.
Placements: For mechanical, there are very less placements as the maximum number of students will get placed in IT companies. Placements are good here but not very good. Students are eligible for placements after their 3rd year. Many companies visit here for placements, but selecting the number of students is very less from our branch.
Infrastructure: There is a good infrastructure. The college is well-equipped with all the necessary equipment and has all facilities, including libraries, Wi-Fi, sports centres and laboratories. The college even has some air-conditioned classrooms. The food served in the canteen is not very tasty but not very bad also.
Faculty: I am pursuing B.Tech in ME, which is a 4 years programme. All the faculty members here are knowledgeable and supportive in all cases and matters. They discuss everything very clearly, which is understandable by the students. Mentor and mentee relations are very good.

Overall, it is the worst college ever.
Placements: Placements are pretty good for CS and EC departments. But the placements for other branches are the worst. Before joining a college, check out which college is good for placements for your particular branch. Mechanical, civil and EEE placements are below average (mechanical and civil all have very low placements in all the colleges). But BMS RV and Ramaiah are better for mechanical branch than PES.
Infrastructure: PES University provides all kinds of facilities and a good choice for overall activities. Many co-curricular activities are held regularly. Sports are not encouraged much. But decent sports tournaments are held. The library and study rooms are pretty good. This college has better resources, but passing is tough.
Faculty: Some of the faculty members are pretty good, and some are average. But many teachers are highly qualified. But the thing to worry about is that things were good before Covid 19 lockdown. But after the colleges are reopened, everything has been changed. The number of teaching hours has been reduced so much that it's going on the worst case. Earlier, we used to have classes 6 days a week (each class of 1 hour). Now, they have made batches, and they take just 3 days a week (50 minutes), i.e., 50% of teaching hours have been reduced. The teaching of some faculty members is the worst. They rush a lot. Our lab sessions last for just 50 minutes as of now. They teach 4 experiments in a class. So on average, 12.5 minutes for a single experiment. Before Lockdown, they used to keep 2 units for every internal. Now after reducing the number of teaching hours, 40% of the syllabus is covered in online mode. They include 3 units for 1 internal. That is 60% of the whole syllabus for 1 internal. Every college is trying to keep it simple after the pandemic, but PES is the only one torturing students like anything. All the colleges had postponed their exams during the pandemic. PES is the only college where exams are finished 3 months earlier than any other college. Even RV BMS are conducting now. I suggest joining any other college. I bet you will regret it once you join here. Passing the subject is a tough task here. If you put the same effort in studying in other colleges, you would have gained a 20% more percentage than in PES.
