Satisfied with the campus life because of different people and programs.
Placements: About 80% of students are placed in our course, including the integrated students. It is an art subject, so the placements are rare, but they offer many seminars and other facilities here. Internships are numerous, and every week we get notification about internships to our university mail ID.
Infrastructure: Departments have all facilities. All the buildings, even if it is a hostel or any department, have Wi-Fi connection available. And classrooms are mainly smart classrooms. Hostels are several stories high and also have the facilities of lifts. Almost 24-hour reading room and library are also available here.
Faculty: Teachers are well educated and have many years of experience. Semester exams are actually simple and syllabus-based; almost all students will be passed out without arrears even though the attendance percentage is strict for writing exams. It is about 75%.
Other: For pursuing a postgraduate degree in South India in history, also among central universities, Pondicherry University is the best. Students from almost all states are studying here. Also, programs are there for diverse cultures.

Satisfied because of faculty/ There were no campus placement for our course.
Placements: There is no campus placement for this course. However, some students cracked the UGC NET exams after graduation. Some students are also preparing for UPSC, SSC, and RRB exams in their free time. Assistant Professor is the top role for the department's students after qualifying for the NET.
Infrastructure: The facilities at this college are good. The hostel is open 24/7, and the department has a good library. The Wi-Fi is just average, and the mess food is very cheap. But the college has a top-quality stadium for cricket and football, and an indoor stadium for badminton, basketball, and volleyball.
Faculty: Some of the teachers were helpful, but some were not qualified or knowledgeable. The semester exams were simple, and the pass percentage was high. This gave me more time to focus on other entrance exams. The course curriculum was adequate but not specialized in any section of history.
Other: The campus life is very good. There will be various events representing different communities and occasions. Pondicherry University is an absolute cultural hub for everyone.

Campus life is too good. There is no restriction on hostel timing.
Placements: There is no campus placement, but some students cracked the UGC NET exams during their post-graduation. Some students are also preparing for UPSC, SSC, and RRB in their free time, as class hours are very few. Assistant professor is the top role for the department's students after qualifying for the NET.
Infrastructure: The Wi-Fi quality is just average. The department has a good library. The classrooms are crowded, but the department is about to move to a new building. The hostel is open 24/7 and has good facilities. The quality of the mess food is low. There are sports stadiums for various kinds of sports where we can develop your athletic abilities.
Faculty: The semester exams were simple, and the pass percentage was high. This gave me more time to focus on other entrance exams or competitive exams. Some teachers and scholars were highly experienced, while others were not. The course curriculum was okay, but it was not specialized in any section of history like JNU and other central universities.
Other: I really enjoyed the campus life at Pondicherry University. There were always a variety of events to choose from, representing different communities and occasions. The university is an absolute cultural hub for everyone, and there were no restrictions on hostel timing.

Pondicherry University with only vibe.
Placements: Very few students get placed through the cell. The university seems to be more interested in selling placement services than actually getting students placed. And the packages offered to students are very low. In my course, there was no placement at all.
Infrastructure: The new block for the department of management studies is already built, but the students are still in the old SJ building. The Wi-Fi connection is too poor, and the classrooms are not wide enough. The library is not open 24 hours, and the hostels and mess food are not good. The medical facility is also very poor.
Faculty: The syllabus and course structure are outdated. A student with the right caliber can teach themselves the material. The entire syllabus is a rehash of what we studied in the past 15 years. There's nothing new. The semester exams are not difficult. They're too easy for someone who knows the subject. The teachers dislike it when we question them.
Other: I chose this course because I wanted to learn more about the subject and to secure a bright future. However, I wish the university would improve the hostel and medical facilities, and provide a good syllabus.

My life at Pondicherry University.
Placements: In my course, M.A. History, there is no placement at Pondicherry University, other commerce and science subjects only have placement. My department did not provide any internships, we did not have an internship program. Nobody got placements in our department.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure and facilities available in the history department are average because we have a total of five batch students, integrated students, and M.A. students. The Wi-Fi connection is poor in the department, but the classroom is so good, and we also have audio and video to use while studying. There is also a library for social science students near the department. The mess food is so poor, and the canteen food is not bad, but also not good. The hostel is neat and clean all the time.
Faculty: The teaching quality is so poor because the teacher or professor is getting too old, they can only make low grades, and they quietly board when studying. Only 2 or 3 faculty members are good. The course curriculum is relevant, and it also makes the students read, but the syllabus is narrow; it contains only a few topics. The semester exam is not difficult, it is too easy. The passing mark is 40 out of 100.
Other: I chose the course because I took an undergraduate degree in history, and I want to become an assistant professor. There is nothing special about history, it also helps to study for the UPSC exam. I mainly prefer a central university to improve my speaking and writing skills in English. I made the improvement because there are so many events conducted at Pondicherry University, including departmental and festival based events.
