What is PUBDET?

Presidency University Bachelor's Degree Entrance Test or PUBDET is conducted to select potential students for admission to BA and BSc (honours) programmes offered at Presidency University, Kolkata. It is an offline test (pen and paper mode). Students who wish to study at this university can apply for a maximum of two subjects while filling out the PUBDET application form. Since the institute is quite popular in the state of West Bengal, about 40 to 50 thousand students apply for PUBDET each year. The number of available seats is announced before PUBDET counselling and seat allotment procedures. It has been observed that the number of seats is significantly less when compared to the number of applicants, which makes the exam quite competitive.
