What is PUBDET?
PUBDET full form is Presidency University Bachelor’s Degree Entrance Test. It is an offline test conducted with pen and paper. Students who want to study at the university can apply for up to two subjects through PUBDET application form. Presidency University is very popular in West Bengal. Around 40 to 50 thousand students apply every year. The total number of seats is announced before PUBDET counselling and seat allotment. Usually, seats offered are much fewer than the number of applicants, which makes the exam really competitive.

PUBDET 2026 Result
Presidency University will release PUBDET 2026 result online. You need to log in with your application number and password to see your result. The result will be announced as a rank card. Make sure to download and keep your PUBDET rank card safe for counselling. The exam board will not publish a merit list.

Details for PUBDET counselling registration are as follows:
- Candidates must register online at www.wbjeeb.nic.in or www.wbjeeb.in.
- Registration fee is Rs. 500/-.
- All candidates need to provide following details to register for PUBDET counselling:

The subject-wise eligibility criteria for PUBDET examination are provided below.

Academic Qualification
- Candidates need to clear higher secondary examination (XII) conducted by CBSE, West Bengal or an equivalent exam, not before 2020.
- Candidate must pass XII with at least five recognized subjects, including English language and excluding Environmental Science.
