The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) conducts PUMDET to shortlist aspirants for admission in MSc programmes offered at Presidency University, Kolkata. The Application Fees can be paid by Net Banking/ Debit Card/ Credit Card/ UPI only. Application fees for PUBDET-2025 is INR 500 (Rupees five hundred only) for one paper and INR 250 for each additional paper, plus the Bank’s Service Charges, if applicable. Candidates interested to appear in PUBDET exam are required to check the eligibility criteria for the exam mentioned below. Check out the academic qualification below:

• Candidates should have cleared higher secondary examination Class 12 that is conducted by CBSE, West Bengal or equivalent exam, not before 2020.
• The candidate must pass Class 12 with at least five recognised subjects, including English language and excluding Environmental Science. The aggregate is to be calculated in the best four recognised subjects.

Presidency University of Kolkata is public state University so student can get admission directly aslo by direct contacting to the college and asking them about vacant seats and eligibility and also if some donation required for getting direct admission you have to confirm it directly by visiting University upto 60%  seats are reserved for direct admission students here.

The applications will be available in the Presidency University website. The application procedure starts at the start of January every year. The application forms for UG Courses will be out from the 1st week of January and the last date for application is in the 2nd week of February. The entrance exam would be conducted in at the end of May. 

The application forms for PG Courses will be out from the last week of January and the last day for application is in the last week of February. The entrance exam would be conducted on the third week of July

Presidency University Kolkata released its provisional general merit list for UG admission on August 27. This was followed by the release of first provisional merit list for admission, based on which students will be able to confirm their seats. The university currently offers UG, PG and doctoral-level courses in the field of Arts and Science. For admission to the University, WBJEEB conducted PUMDET and PUBDET exams for PG and UG admission. However, from the academic batch of 2021-22, WBJEEB has cancelled both these exams and admission will strictly be based on merit scores obtained by the students at the undergraduate level and Class 12 for PG and UG admission, respectively.

One cannot get admission with 60% in class 12th  for admission one requires 70% or equivalent marks in class 12th.

Yes, one can easily get into presidency university, kolkata with 70% or equivalent in class 12th. The University has 17 departments that offers UG, PG and PhD programmes in Arts and Science specialisations. Admission to all the courses offered by the University is entrance-based every year. However, for admission to the academic year 2021-22, the entrance exams conducted for admission to UG and PG courses by WBJEEB, i.e. PUBDET and PUMDET stand cancelled.
