Presidency University Kolkata released its provisional general merit list for UG admission on August 27. This was followed by the release of first provisional merit list for admission, based on which students will be able to confirm their seats. The university currently offers UG, PG and doctoral-level courses in the field of Arts and Science. For admission to the University, WBJEEB conducted PUMDET and PUBDET exams for PG and UG admission. However, from the academic batch of 2021-22, WBJEEB has cancelled both these exams and admission will strictly be based on merit scores obtained by the students at the undergraduate level and Class 12 for PG and UG admission, respectively.

One cannot get admission with 60% in class 12th  for admission one requires 70% or equivalent marks in class 12th.

Presidency University Kolkata admission 2023 is expected to start in the month of August and September for UG and PG courses, respectively. During 2022 admission cycle, Presidency University Kolkata released its provisional general merit list for UG admission on August 27. This was followed by the release of first provisional merit list for admission, based on which students will be able to confirm their seats. The university currently offers UG, PG and doctoral-level courses in the field of Arts and Science. For admission to the University, WBJEEB conducted PUMDET and PUBDET exams for PG and UG Admission. There is no minimum cutoff for admission. You need to fulfill eligibility criteria which is 70% marks in 12th and entrance exam.

You must first register and fill the application form to appear for the PUBDET exam. You must visit the official website of WBJEEB to fill and apply for PUBDET. In the application form, you are required to fill important information like personal details (name, parent's name, category, contact information, etc.) and academic details (mark sheets, transfer certificate, etc.). Yes, one can easily get into presidency university, kolkata with 70% or equivalent in class 12th. The University has 17 departments that offers UG, PG and PhD programmes in Arts and Science specialisations. Admission to all the courses offered by the University is entrance-based every year. However, for admission to the academic year 2021-22, the entrance exams conducted for admission to UG and PG courses by WBJEEB, i.e. PUBDET and PUMDET stand cancelled. All the admissions for this academic year will be based on merit in the last qualifying exam.
