Placements: Apprpx 80 to 90% students are placed in my course. In the first year of M.Sc. various course is offered by the institute and in the 2nd year, students get an opportunity to research on a short term project on their interests. Students get a good expose from here.
Infrastructure: Wi-fi connectivity, well classroom infrastructure, library, Labs and Experimental set up all facilities arw given by the institute and a weekly seminar is another advantage in this institute which enlightens our knowledge about various topics and grow interests in student's mind. Hostel facilities are also good in this institute. Fooding and staying is good. There are a lot of students come from long distances to study here. All are welcomed by the institute and they give a good hostel facility.
Faculty: The teachers in the department are very much helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. They make the students understand the topic very carefully and in the easiest way. This make the students to make a good relation with the teachers and to create interest about the topics. Semester exams are taken by the teacher in a well manner and within time. Almost 90% students lass int he exams.
Other: I choose to do master in Physics feomt his university as it has a big expose and the teachers are very much knowledgeable and helpful in their profession. The project work is another advantage. Although this university also has a historical value. There are a lot of extracurricular activities like Presision, Presidency cricket league, yearly fest are occured.

One of the best college in the country.
Placements: The placement cell of the college (which is now converted to university) is not that great. College rarely arrange direct placement with commercial companies. Some of the departments directly contact various companies and I have seen top companies like Telco, Infosys, Reliance and Cognizant to do direct recruitment from the college.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is quite good. All the Science departments have very good laboratories with modern facilities. The college have available ground for sport though the ground is rarely used. The library of the college is quite rich with good collection of books. The college has good auditorium and various seminar halls.
Faculty: The college has very rich history as it has seen many noble laureates and notable scholars as faculty and students of the college. Acharya Jagadish Chandra Bose, Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, S. N. Bose, P. C. Mahalanbish and Amartya Sen are just few names among the long list of star alumnus of the institutes. Though the institute lost its past glory, still it is one of the best college/university in the country. The course curriculum of the institute is quite modern. Recently the college is upgraded to university and still it is working on various processes of the transformation. Research is an aspect which the institutes need to give more emphasis in future.
Other: The institute is located in the heart of college street, next to Calcutta University and Medical College. The institute located in between Howrah and Sealdah station and can be easily commuted using bus, train and tram. The institute is known for its lively cultural activity and it is one of the pride of Bengal.

Presidency College, Kolkata
Placements: Only 63 to 68% of students from the discipline of Physics are allowed to attend the recruitment drives, while exam results are the deciding factors for their placement participation. The minimum package offered to our branch students is 2.56 LPA.
Infrastructure: The technical team is available in the laboratories at all times to assist the students with the precise usage of equipment. Libraries are well stocked with basic books required for subject references for all disciplines in multiple copies. The possibilities of conducting fests are at the maximum rate.
Faculty: Teachers mark the records of the students more precisely and accurately to avoid future problems. The curriculum experience provided by the teachers was above average. Teachers partition the students into several groups to provide group-based coaching for exams.

An outlook of Presidency University.
Placements: The college placements are very good. A lot of our seniors and juniors get placed in IITS, TIFR, IUCAA. A lot of students have been getting placed in prestigious US universities. Also, there is campusing every year from prominent industrial companies. Also, prestigious institutes offer internships on the semester basis.
Infrastructure: We have free Wi-Fi, fully audiovisually smart classrooms, computer labs, general labs with good infrastructure. The College has a central library and an individual departmental library. The hostel is a bit far away from the main campus. The university provides regular bus service.
Faculty: The teachers are very approachable and friendly. A lot of them take part in active research. The student to faculty ratio is almost 6:1 for many years. The courses are useful for getting industrial exposure. The courses are designed in such a way that the covered material overlaps with the lab exposure within the same semester.
Other: There is annual fest which is called MILLIU. It is very near to the place Sealdah and Howrah rail station, and central and M. G. Road metro station. Also, bus and tram connectivity is available.
