Are you interested in Presidency University?

Placements: Presidency university offers Science and humanities subject. So, placements, directly from campus is a bit problematic. Though students from Physics, chemistry or biology field get jobs in private institutes like AKASH or Pathfinder. Students from Economics and statistics are selected in direct campusing of some BANKS. Apart from these, some media house take students from language departments. But percentage is very low. Students opt for research field more. The highest package is near about 13lacs in bank sector. Students get internship by themselves only. University doesn't have a professional placement cell.

Infrastructure: As per Infrastructure, Presidency is pretty cool. Departments consist of smart air conditioned classes with big lecture halls. High-speed Wi-Fi are available everywhere. Laboratories are well-equipped. Libraries have good number of updated books, e -journals, JSTORE facility. 3 canteens of different food price are there. As per medical facility, in emergency case, students are quickly sent to Calcutta Medical College which is very near to Presidency. Sports and Games facilities are not much to say about. Indoor and outdoor games are played by the students. Hostels room are clean and dormatory like. But the hostel fee is very low.

Faculty: Teachers are very qualified (okay, not all as a teacher). They are always ready to discuss about students' confusions. They take digital classes along with early chalk-board method. Student-faculty ratio is different in every department. In zoology department it is like 1:12 ratio. My course is very useful for clearing NET, that I must say.

Other: Campus is very happening with different kinds of fests and workshops. Campus crowd is more or less liberal minded. Politics is very enriched here. Students can take metro or train route to reach Presidency. Scholarships are there for meritorious yet needy students.

U have to sit for the PUBDET exam for those subjects and the marks in the admission test matter. The marks in the board's exam don't play many roles in it. Here is the list of entrance exams: JNU CEEB, ICAR AIEEA PG, IIT JAM, AIIMS (for M.Sc in biotech entrance exam), Tata Institute of Fundamental Research Graduate School Admission Exam (TIFR GS). These are the to entrance exams. Other private universities conduct their own entrance exams like Amity
