B.Tech. in Information Technology - Batch of 2027

Absolutely satisfied because of the cultural fest, like Anukriti and the technical fest, like Thar.
Placements: The college offers a good number of placement opportunities to students, around 54 percent of students get placed. The highest package offered is of forty-five LPA, and the lowest is offered at five lacs fifty thousand LPA, with an average package of six lacs fifty thousand.
Infrastructure: The college provides a good infrastructure of hygiene classroom with proper ventilation. The department have decent amount of Wi-Fi, labs were clean and well-maintained with proper furniture. Hostel have good rooms, and there are garden. Mess serves good food.
Faculty: Teachers provide good knowledge of their respective subjects and relevant content for the preparation of exams that help students to score good marks. The teachers were highly qualified in their respective domains. They provide important knowledge of the subjects that help the students to secure good marks in exams.
Other: Overall, a good college with a decent amount of extracurricular activities and events that help students to learn and grow.

The infrastructure and the campus is beautiful, but the placements are good before.
Placements: Mini Range is the top recruiting company that gave 10-15 LPA for CS students. 70 percent of the students are placed in my branch this year. Everybody from each batch got internships after completing each year of college. So overall, the placements are average in RTU.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is amazing. It has got cafeteria, canteen, library, football ground, basketball court, cricket ground, lecture theatre, etc. There are a number of gardens and grounds in college and the environment is just lovely. There are different blocks for each department and each has a capacity of 200 students in each classroom.
Faculty: The teachers are really helpful in this college. They are quite knowledgeable and the curriculum for this course is exactly how it should be for entering an industry. The semester exams are a bit difficult, but with all-nighters and solving PYQs, you can easily get through it.

RTU Kota - Decent tech university, but self learning is key of success.
Placements: 40-45% of students are placed in my course this year. The highest package in my course is 44 LPA. The lowest package is 3.5 LPA, and average package is around 9 LPA - 10 LPA. Recruiting companies are Microsoft, Amazon, Wipro, Infosys, and TCS. Around 60% of students in my course got internships in some startup companies, some in Infosys, TCS, miniOrange, and Tech Mahindra. Top roles offered are software development, data analysis and science, network engineer, IT support specials, AI/ML engineer, and cloud engineer.
Infrastructure: In my course, there are smart classrooms for enhanced learning with technology. There is high-speed Wi-Fi in each building so that students can access the internet for research and learning. An open-access library is there for easy access to resources. There is also a theater-style setup for lectures and presentations. RTU offers hostel facilities with basic, recreational space and security. RTU has separate hostels for boys and girls. The capacity of hostels can accommodate around 850 boys and 250 girls. Hostels are well-structured and fully furnished. Hostels are located near the academic buildings. Mess food is quite good.
Faculty: All professors are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is excellent. The course curriculum at RTU covers fundamental concepts but lacks full alignment with modern industry demands. Students need to supplement tier learning with self-study, internships, and online courses to become industry-ready. The semester exams are moderate level, and the pass percentage is around 80%.
Other: I chose this course because of my passion for technology, problem-solving, and the vast career opportunities in software development. The best thing about IT is its ever-evolving nature and hands-on coding experience. I wish the IT course had more industry-oriented subjects, updated technologies and practical projects, better placement opportunities. Events, fests, campus crowds, scholarships, and extracurricular activities happen every month to enjoy student life.

Very poor placements but has good infrastructure.
Placements: About 70 students are there in the IT branch, and approximately 700 students are in 2nd year who are pursuing B.Tech from RTU. The highest package offered in the CS branch is 23 LPA by Infosys. But percentage of placement is very low in our college like the recent batch of CS branch who got pass out. Only 10 people got placed out of 120 students.
Infrastructure: The only thing this college is good because of campus area, cafeteria, CS park, and gymnasium. This college has all the facilities regarding sports like football ground, tennis court, volleyball court, and a small gymnasium with old equipment. There are 3 badminton courts with poor ventilation.
Faculty: Some of the faculty members in our college are well experienced. They carry a very good knowledge of subjects. Some of them are not that experienced but they also carry very good knowledge of subject. Semester exams in our college are very easy even if we start studying 2 days before the exams.

Navigating the college life in Rajasthan Technical University Kotak.
Placements: In our course, 30% of students were placed. The highest package offered was 10-13 Lacs per annum, and the average package was 4-5 Lacs per annum. The top recruiting companies were TCS, Infosys, and Mahindra (MBT). In our course, 50% of students got internships.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our department is good, with properly maintained classrooms. However, the Wi-Fi doesn't work properly in our classrooms. The labs are good, but sometimes the lab computers don't work properly. The hostel is quiet good, and the food in the mess hall is very good. There are good medical facilities, and many sports are played in our college, including football, badminton, cricket, and chess.
Faculty: The quality of teaching is good, and the teachers are always ready to help the poor students. However, some teachers are very strict. The difficulty of the semester exams is moderate, and the pass percentage is 40% of the highest marks in your class. The placement cell is working well to prepare students for their company interviews.

Decent Campus Culture, But Serious Concerns About Placements and Faculty.
Placements: Placement opportunities are severely limited, with most students struggling to find jobs. Core companies do not recruit here, and the placement cell offers little to no support in terms of training or guidance. Salaries are low, averaging around 2.25 LPA, and many students remain unplaced even after graduation. The college doesn't facilitate internships either, further limiting career prospects.
Infrastructure: The college boasts a large campus with a playground and generally decent classrooms. However, Wi-Fi is not available, which is a significant drawback in today's academic environment. Labs are adequate for senior students, with resources primarily focused on first-year needs. The canteen and mess are poorly managed, with subpar food quality and hygiene being major concerns. Medical facilities are also lacking.
Faculty: While first-year students report having qualified and helpful faculty, the quality of teaching appears to decline sharply after the first year. Senior students report encountering qualified and inexperienced teachers, some of whom are allegedly dealing with their own academic backlogs. This raises concerns about the overall quality of education provided in the later years of the programme.
Other: The college hosts a long annual fest with participation from other colleges and organizes several other events throughout the year, which contribute positively to campus life. However, there are concerns about financial transparency, particularly regarding the collection of fees for the fest without providing receipts. The college also seems to attract a significant number of students from outside the immediate region.

Overall RTU is very nice college and College life is very nice.
Placements: Our college has a good track record of on-campus placements, especially in Computer Science Engineering (including Information Technology Branch) and Civil Engineering branches. These two branches have placements for more than 60% of the total strength.
Infrastructure: Our college has good infrastructure, and each department has a separate building. We also have a Central Library with free Wi-Fi and computers. We also have a Medical Dispensary. We have 5 boys' and 2 girls' hostels. Hostel mess food is good. The campus area is very huge, with Chambal River in it.
Faculty: Our teachers are very good by nature and always very helpful. They make us understand the concepts very clearly. Exams are not very difficult. Exams can be cleared by studying class notes. The syllabus is always completed on time. Our labs are also well-equipped.
Other: 75% attendance is compulsory in classes.

It's a good college if you want an affordable B.Tech. degree with an average placement of 5–6 LPA.
Placements: Around 75% of students get placed on-campus and off-campus. The highest on-campus package this year is 32 LPA, and last year it was 11 LPA. The lowest package is 3.2 LPA, and the average is 5–6 LPA. The top recruiting companies are mass recruiters like TCS, Reliance, Wipro, etc.
Infrastructure: In our Computer Science department, we have Wi-Fi throughout the department, labs fully equipped with Wi-Fi, and desktops. The classrooms are clean and good-looking, with projectors, Wi-Fi, and AC, and we also have a central library in the college. We have a departmental library here at RTU. Though I don't know much about the hostels, according to my friends, the hostels are average, and so is the food. We have facilities like a football field, a volleyball field, badminton, table tennis, basketball, and a gym.
Faculty: Most of the teachers are helpful, except for a few every semester. So far, all faculty members have either completed their education or are currently pursuing it. The curriculum in the first year is still old, but after that, we have many of the latest technologies in our course, like artificial intelligence, machine learning, data science, and blockchain. End-semester exams are at a medium level and range from easy to medium difficulty. The pass percentage is relatively low, but it is safe to aim for a score of more than 40%.
