The department is old and needs renovation. Parking facilities are good.
Placements: Around 50% students were placed this year in my college. The highest package was 10 LPA, the lowest package was 4 LPA, and the average package was 6 PA. Wipro and Reliance are the top recruiting companies in my college. There is a placement cell in my college that helps a lot in placing students in companies around India.
Infrastructure: There is Wi-Fi available in every department. Labs are fully functional and equipped with all the necessary equipment related to our course. Classrooms are well-maintained and fully furnished. There is a library on the campus that contains books and source material for every branch in the college.
Faculty: Teachers were very helpful towards our studies. During exams, they helped us with doubt classes and extra classes. The faculty members are well-educated and qualified. All the teachers are skilled and very helpful. The course curriculum is relevant.
Other: My father is a mining engineer, so I also want to follow in his path and become a good refining engineer. The department should have more refinery machines for practical use. There should have been a DIY model of oil extraction machines.

I'd definitely not recommend this college to anyone as there is a lot of partiality based on caste.
Placements: Actually, my branch is chemical, and it is new in our college. So, our batch will be the first batch to pass out from the chemical branch. There is no record of placement. Otherwise, branches like civil, electrical, and petroleum have quite good placements in earlier records.
Infrastructure: The hostels need maintenance. First-year classes are in D block, which really needs maintenance. Hostels really need maintenance.
Faculty: Some teachers are quite good, and some of the seniors are also good, but some are really the worst. For guidance, we can depend on seniors more than any professors. They don't know what they are saying and what they will implement in the exams. CSE department teachers are literally so strict.
Other: If it is said that something is postponed, it means it is canceled. The fest Anukriti has been canceled for the last 2 years due to exams of different years. So, I am dissatisfied with their decisions.

Best petrochemical facility. They help us in every problem related to studies.
Placements: There is no placement for petrochemical engineers in RTU. We also have trouble in searching for internships. The college faculty does not even help us in getting internships. Almost every student got internship but via self-efforts. Top role offered in my course is of graduate engineer trainee but we try on our own to get this type of role.
Infrastructure: There is no Wi-Fi for students. Faculty is good and they have great knowledge about their subjects. Library of rtu kotak is very big and you can find any book related to your stream. I am a petrochemical engineer and there is enough material in the library to clear the B.Tech. I did not live in hostel so I don't have any experience about hostel life and food.
Faculty: Teachers of my course are very helpful and they encourage us to prepare for many government exams and events. But our teacher not prepare us for industry ready. If you not prepare proper notes and not study properly you found semester exam very difficult.
Other: I chose this course because as a chemical/petrochemical engineer, I have enough knowledge about environment and how we save our earth. I wish the number of faculty increases in my course. There is one most popular tech fest conducted by rtu kota, i.e. "THAR".

Dissatisfied placement, only 20% faculty are good.
Placements: Almost 20% student placed from my college in CS and IT companies. My branch is petrochemical and there is no placement in my branch. There is no company placement for petrochemical or petroleum. In rtu kotak mostly placement companies are local and they do not pay enough to students, And 90% companies related to CS and IT. There is no the highest, the lowest and avg package in my branch. Zero percent student got internship in the name of rtu.
Infrastructure: I live in kotak, so I don't know much about RTU's hostel. Rtu campus is good. It is green all around. It is a good place to study. Library of rtu kotak is best place to study and learn something new. There is no Wi-Fi for students. Average classroom in college. First two years, we had to experiment in the old labs. Where the equipment does not work properly. Rtu's infrastructure is good even after being a government college. I have never gone to hostel but I have definitely eaten food.
Faculty: Teachers of rtu kotak are very qualified and they have great knowledge of subjects, but there is no young teacher in the campus, who permanent in rtu. Semester exams are very difficult if you do not study properly. Some time teachers do not complete the syllabus. In petrochemical we have only 3-4 teachers for all semester and subjects only. In every semester we self study atleast 2 subjects. But our petrochemical professors help us to clear the doubts.
Other: I chose petrochemical/ chemical engineering. The best thing about my branch is we learn about environment, we learn about how we can change the world with the help of some subject knowledge and right execution. Our branch help us to know about the waste treatments and how we improve the rural life. Rtu have tech fest THAR.

It is an amazing college with amazing teachers for petrochemical engineering.
Placements: In our branch, there have been less placements for some years, and only around 20%-30% of the students got placed through campus placements in oil and gas industries. The highest salary package of 6 LPA was offered by Byju's, and the lowest salary package offered is 2 LPA. The average salary package offered is around 2 LPA to 3 LPA. Top recruiting companies here are JK Cement Nimbahera, DCM Kotak, Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL) and many more. Almost 100% of the students got internships in oil and gas industries, and most of them got internships in HPCL, ONGC, etc. We are offered production engineer and shift engineer roles in the oil and gas downstream sector.
Infrastructure: Our university is spread around 385 acres with all necessary facilities such as labs which have all equipment, good Wi-Fi on the entire campus and classrooms. The campus is huge, and we may sit anywhere and study. There are many gardens, and you will feel the beauty of nature. The accommodation system in the hostel is very good as ONGC sponsors the mess of the hostel. The quality of the food served in the mess is good.
Faculty: All the teachers here are highly qualified and well-experienced. Even some of them are qualified from IITs. They help every student in every situation. Teachers are well qualified to teach students the theory as well as in laboratories. Classes are held by teachers of their respective subjects. The course curriculum of petrochemical engineering is industry-oriented. Our college helps to make every student industry-ready.
Other: I chose this course as I have a goal to serve in a big industry from starting, and a petrochemical engineer has a high chance of requirement compared to other B.Tech courses. I also had a spectacular area of interest in this field. In this course, students know about all unit operations and unit processes carried out in industries in the best and optimum way economically. I wish that in our course the subject of management would not have included. Every year many events and fests are organised in our college such as Thar, Anukriti, etc.

I am absolutely satisfied because of faculty members and really good infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: The highest salary package offered in off-campus placements is 22 LPA. Campus placements are also good. The average salary package offered is 3.5 LPA in campus placements. Most of the students preferred to get placed through off-campus placements. In off-campus placements, the salary package offered is more than campus placements. Students have to work hard.
Infrastructure: There is a separate building for our course. New equipment and best facilities are also provided. The quality of the food served in the mess is very good, and night canteen is also available in the hostel. Sports facilities are also provided, which are very good. Classrooms are very good and well ventilated.
Faculty: Professors here are very experienced, and they are helpful in nature. Some time they provide extra guidance and support. They encourage you to participate in various hackthons and activities. Industries are ready to hire students. The teaching quality is also good.

It is a good college. If you don't have any other option, this one is worth it.
Placements: Only two core companies hire students from the college. If you are interested in getting placed in the IT sector there are a lot of opportunities. Prepare yourself according to the future targets managing college life, don't rely on college placements. Some companies are having a tie-up with college so you have a chance if you don't have any reference.
Infrastructure: The food served in the mess is very good as students are given the power to decide the quality and schedule dishes. The environment on campus is also good. We have an adaptive environment. Students are free to explore hostel life. The food served in the canteen is at a low price. Sports facility provided is fair. Hostel rooms are also good at an affordable price.
Faculty: In India, core petrochemical opportunities are less in the future, other than M.Tech or research opportunities. So better do with petroleum or core chemical branch. Otherwise, if there is no barrier to the stream than better choose core fields.
Other: It is upon students, on how you take the struggle either by grooming themselves or just by sitting. There are fewer opportunities, and you have to put more effort.

Infrastructure and facilities are good but placement are not good for Petrochemical engineering.
Placements: Almost 30% student get placed. Mostly non core companies come for placement campus like TCS, Infosys etc. Only 2-3 core companies comes for placement like Birla cement. They are offered 3 to 3.2 Lacs annual package. But you get easily a core company for internship.
Infrastructure: Hostel is available for students inside the campus. You get hostel based on your rank for first year and after that you get hostel based on your semester percentage. Inside the hostel and campus you get free wi-fi facility and also get a library. Food quality is also good in hostel mess. And canteen facility also available inside campus. Sport facilities are good inside campus and you get enough time to play any game like cricket, badminton, basketball, volleyball etc.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and qualified but they are not much knowledgeable. Their teaching quality is not much good as per required. I am only talking about Petrochemical engineering department. In this stream you get a similar course to chemical engineering. I don not understand why they are gives us petrochemical engineering degree instead of chemical.
Other: I have choose this course because it come first time in this college and I hope to get placement in oil refinery. But that time I am totally wrong. Finally I am get a job in oil PSU by giving GATE exam.
