SRM Institute of Technology Kattankulathur MPT Admission 2023
At the postgraduate level, the institute offers a two-year MPT programme to the students across nine specialisations. The course is spread across two years consisting of four semesters. Admission to this course is done on the basis of SRMJEEH - PG conducted by the deemed-to-be University and is subject to a valid score obtained by the students in their last qualifying exam. i.e. their UG degree. Eligibility
- Candidates must have passed the Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) degree from a recognised University in India (on-campus full-time course) accepted by the authorities of this university as equivalent thereto
- Completed Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) degree in other country universities should obtain eligibility/ equivalent certificates from this university prior to admission
- Must have completed six months of Compulsory Rotatory Internship programme on or before May 31 of that academic year
- Must have passed a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) from other than SRM Institute of Science and Technology shall obtain a Migration Certificate from parent
- Submit to the Head of the Institution a Certificate of Medical Fitness from an authorised Medical Officer certifying that the candidate is fit to undergo the academic course

Students willing to take admission to SRM can apply online on the official website of the deemed University on payment of a common application fee of INR 1,200. The application process is same across all the courses. A step-by-step process of SRM Institute of Technology Kattankulathur (deemed-to-be) MPT application is mentioned below:
Step 1: Visit the official website of SRM IST and click on ‘Apply Now’ on top or on the respective course application link in the right corner.
Step 2: Click on ‘Apply Now’ in the new window written in front of the desired course name.
Step 3: Register as a new user by adding all the relevant details in the application form.
Step 4: Using the login credentials created in the last step, login, fill in the complete application form, pay the application fee and submit the form.

SRM Institute of Science and Technology admissions are conducted on the basis of entrance tests. The admission for the flagship programs are held on the basis of SRMJEEE UG exam. Further, SRM MBA admissions are conducted on the basis of SRMJEEM test. The SRMJEEE PG test is conducted for the various SRMIST PG courses. The university also accepts scoring from nationally-held tests like CAT, TANCET, MAT, etc. for admissions.
SRM University conducts SRMJEEE exam for admission to Engineering courses. The university does not accept scores for any other entrance exams. Candidates are shortlisted for BTech and MTech based on their past academic records and scores obtained in the entrance exam.
To sit for the respective exams, candidates must apply for the exams priorly and make a SRMJEEE preparation strategy to ace the exam.
Yes, candidates can get admission to BTech without JEE Main score. Admission to BTech course is only based on SRMJEEE score. Candidates are required to pass Class 12 with minimum 60% aggregate as per the minimum eligibility criteria. Further, aspirants must qualify for SRM JEE exam with a valid score. SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Kattankulathur conducts its own admissions for each school to admit candidates to its BSc courses. For Medicine & Health Sciences, SRMJEEH is conducted every year to admit candidates while for others, a different SRM IST national level entrance exam is conducted.

Hostel fees for BTech at SRM IST Kattankulathur is INR 4.72 Lacs for academic year 2026. Candidates will be charged this hostel fees annually with first installment also having INR 25,000 as caution deposit.
No, candidates must pay all fees online or by DD. No cash payment is allowed for the counselling process. The candidates who qualify for SRMJEEE must appear for the counselling rounds with their documents for verification. SRMIST is conducting the counselling online. For online counselling, candidates are informed the details through email or text messages. To participate in SRMJEEE counselling in online mode (SRM counselling), candidates have to register and pay the required fee.
Under the founders scholarship scheme, SRM University encourages toppers in the qualifying examination or JEE exam to seek admission in the first year of BTech. It also encourages outstanding sports personalities to seek admission in Diploma/ UG/ PG programmes offered at SRM IST.
