Tezpur University MA Eligibility & Highlights 2025

Tezpur University MA is a two-year course offered in a full-time mode. The PG-level course is available in multiple specialisations including Cultural Studies, English, Linguistics and Language Technology, Hindi, Mass Communication and Journalism, Communication for Development, etc. The university also offers MA as an integration course.

For admission to this programme, candidates are required to appear for the entrance exam. Tezpur University conducts the Tezpur University Entrance Examination for admission to various courses. Overall, it is the best university for the M.A. in Hindi course.

Placements: Nearly 96% of the pupils feel at ease in my branch. The maximum salary offered is 30 LPA. At least 6 LPA is required. Packages range from 15 to 21 LPA on average. Students get placed at Randstad India, Monster India, Naukri.com, and others. Positions include roles such as government officer, literary critic, and more. College students receive good support for internships.

Infrastructure: The amenities are excellent, equipped with all the latest comforts. There is Wi-Fi on the campus and in the hostel rooms. The hostel offers great rooms with high-quality timber furnishings and beautiful paintings. There are also good computer labs. In Assam, having good transportation is essential, and the college provides that. Both North Indian and South Indian food at the canteen, and both are excellent.

Faculty: Teachers in our college are regular and punctual in classes. From my experience, our department professors facilitate conversations outside of class. Most of them are very friendly. They are helpful and complete the curriculum on time. Every two months, technical visits for students to expose them to technical needs. The semester exams are easy to score, and the pass rate is 79%.

Overall, the best university for M.A. in Hindi course.

Placements: Almost 95% of students got placed in our university. Very good bundles are available, all with the core firm. The maximum is 26 LPA, while the minimum is 6 LPA. The average compensation package is 17 LPA. Charishma, MM Enterprises, Michael Page, and other top recruiting companies are listed below. All students are assigned positions such as content writers, translator, etc. Approximately 92% of students receive internship opportunities.

Infrastructure: Our university features modern labs, classrooms with Wi-Fi, and libraries that are well-stocked for every course. Large rooms, Wi-Fi, and recreational amenities are features of hotels. The mess food has a variety of options and is good. Munchies are served in our restaurants. There is a clinic that is open continuously. A gym, basketball, football, and cricket are among the sports facilities. All things considered, the buildings are kept up nicely and are convenient for students to access.

Faculty: The professors are very knowledgeable about their courses and are well competent. In order to comply with industry requirements, the curriculum is well-designed and revised frequently. Semester exams are meant to assess both practical application and critical thinking, and they are somewhat challenging. Over 60% of students pass.

For sociology, it is a great learning place.

Placements: There is a dedicated cell that makes sure regular seminars, etc., happen that help students learn industry ideas and perspectives. The various placements in government departments, NGOs, CSR projects, and allied fields. The alumni, facilities, etc. also help.

Infrastructure: There is a good hostel facility available and there are 2 or 3 blocks and the inside benefits depend upon the block that you choose. There are messes, laundry, and common medical facilities. There is also a sports area and Wi-Fi is available throughout the campus.

Faculty: The teaching method is more engaging and focused on critical thinking and analysis. With that, it is designed to be comprehensive and quite relevant to contemporary social issues. The exams are not that challenging and the passing percentage is 80%.

Strong faculty and infrastructure.

Placements: Generally, the placement is not that great in this course but it helps build a strong knowledge foundation for the students. The placement is not the primary focus of the course. But some of the recruiters that do come offer academic areas, writing, research, etc.

Infrastructure: The classrooms are quite large, have various audio and visual equipment that makes modern class teaching easy and have Wi-Fi access all around. There are a good number of books, journals, and e-resources available in the library and the hostel is well maintained.

Faculty: Generally, the main semester exams are moderately difficult and the pass percentage is just 80%. The course and the teachers focus on building a strong foundation and imparting knowledge covering literature and language, while also focusing on industry.

Limited internship opportunities.

Placements: We were the covid batch and the placement during our time was not that great but before that, we had a rate of 70% of students getting placed every year with that, we had diverse roles in academic research, journalism, publishing, advertising, content writing, etc.

Infrastructure: The hostel facility is available on the campus itself, where there are 2 hostels, one for boys and one for girls and we have facilities for Wi-Fi connection, paid laundry services, and washing machines. For food, we have a mess and canteen, both of which are available and are hygienic.

Faculty: The faculty members that are present in our department are either from rich industry backgrounds or are the ones who have Ph.D. degrees and all have quite a good number of years of teaching experience. They are quite supportive and try to give students direction for various career paths.

Our college provides an energetic campus life and good infrastructure.

Placements: The batch which passed out has got almost 100% placement in various organisations and NGOs like UNICEF and Drishti Foundation. The average salary package offered is 2.5 LPA. Almost 100% of the students from our course got an internship in UNICEF. This course deals with community development.

Infrastructure: Our college provides facilities like 24x7 Wi-Fi, edit suite, labs, studios and a library with many books. The hostel facilities are best, but the quality of food served is average. Sports and game facilities are the best, but the medical centre is not up to the mark.

Faculty: Teachers in our college are less experienced, and they provide more bookish knowledge. However, their teaching quality is the best with numerous workshops from other practitioners. The course curriculum is very much relevant, and it makes the students industry-ready.

Other: I have chosen this course because I wanted to join the development sector. The field experiences are very much fun, and it helps to develop the skillset for further use. However, the course needs to be more skill-based rather than theory-based. The campus organises 2 annual fests. The campus crowd is very energetic. The campus is lush green with rich biodiversity. Extracurricular activities are given equal importance. Scholarships are also available for students.

The admission eligibility is min 60% in 10+2 PCM and pass marks in English and also you will have to appear for CUET- UG and the total seat intake is approximately 40-50.

Yes, definitely you can get admission to Tezpur University without having mathematics in Common University Entrance Test CUET UG because mathematics is an optional subject while pursuing Bachelor's in Commerce Bcom and if you haven't opted for mathematics in your 12th then there is no need to opt it
