M.A. in Social Work (Community Organisation, Development Practice) - Batch of 2021

It's one of the best colleges, with good faculty members available.
Placements: Our college has had good placements for the last three years. Many students have been placed in our college. Even though our course is about social work in the environmental field, many companies have visited our college. Our college does not provide internships, but fixed placements are available with good salary packages.
Infrastructure: The college has well-designed infrastructure, and a few facilities are provided, such as Wi-Fi with unlimited data and a library with research papers and books. Hostel facilities include food, electricity, and a medical emergency kit.
Faculty: Faculty members are very professional, well-qualified, and knowledgeable. They help us get research papers and materials. Our curriculum is relevant, and there are daily tasks based on environmental studies. Exams are not difficult; if we read before the exams, we can pass easily.

Our college is good in all aspects.
Placements: Our college assists students with their placements. The summer, lateral, and final placement participation will be from all the top branches in the country from various sectors. Around 5 students got placed with a salary package of 25 LPA. The average salary package offered is 20.25 LPA. The course fee is 1.5 LPA. Our college provides good placements.
Infrastructure: Our college provides us with all facilities. The hostel rooms are not much spacious. There are options for twin sharing and four sharing rooms. The hostel has 8 sharing halls. The common washrooms are well-maintained. They are sufficient for everyone on the floor. We can use laundry machines once a week. The water facility is good. The rooms have windows for ventilation. They have enough extension points. The PGs around the college are three times costlier than the hostel but have fewer restrictions on time and facilities. They are equipped with air-conditioners.
Faculty: We have gained a lot of valuable fieldwork experience through a rigorous research process that spans over 2 years. They teach us to approach any situation with acceptance and humility. The social work program I have attended is renowned for investing heavily in the well-being of each child they work with, prioritising mental health above all else. Around 60 students can stay in each classroom. The course fee is Rs. 66,000 per year.

Our university is the best with good internships and placements opportunities.
Placements: This course is one of the best offered in the school of social work at TISS. They offered placements and internships opportunities in very renowned NGOs like Pratham, Sneha, Aanandi, etc. The package offered is normal, and the maximum salary package offered is 22 LPA.
Infrastructure: The library is always open with 24X7 Wi-Fi. Hostel rooms are clean and are of normal size. They provide good quality food and snacks at very low, hostel charges and take care is very hygienic. They provide medical insurance every semester. Most of the events are based on culture and art.
Faculty: Most of the semesters are based on assignments and academic papers, which makes it very difficult to carry on with all the work pressure. But the course designed and the subjects taught are very valuable and full of new knowledge. The course content is sometimes tough and is based on perspective.
Other: The main reason behind choosing the course is to learn more about social work. This provides very good practical and fieldwork opportunities which help to gain practical experience and further help to get better placements. The campus is very beautiful and peaceful, teachers and other staff are also very fine. They also arrange lots of cultural activities as well.

TISS has a supreme environment for studying social and behavioural sciences.
Placements: Placements provided by the college were very good. Students are developed to face any drive according to their specialisation. In our batch, almost everyone got placed. Top recruiting companies were P&G, Helping Hands, and many NGOs. Major roles offered were as a team leader and area manager. The highest salary package offered was 8 LPA.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure was quite good and had all the minimal facilities. Our labs were well furnished, and we had Wi-Fi facilities in our classrooms. Our hostels were neat, and cleanliness was maintained. There was a hygienic environment. The quality of the food served was also great.
Faculty: The course curriculum was very good and was to the point. The syllabus covered all the aspect required, and there was no special attention to grab. Teachers were quite helpful and had many years of experience. The teaching quality was very good, and they were always ready to help us at any moment.
Other: I chose this course because of the diverse culture and the best faculty members here. Only thing I would suggest here is that campus life should be more fun. There are not much events and festival organised here, making it a monotonous environment.
