It is a Central University that was established in October 1987. It is located at Agartala with 78 acres of campus. It is approved by UGC and has got accreditation from NAAC. Talking about Tripura University, it offers various courses such as B.Tech/B.E., MBA/PGDM, M.A., M.Sc, B.Sc, B.A. and many more. Amongst all the courses, PG has shown most placements for the year 2022. The University has still not released the 2023 placement report. But, the NIRF report 2023 is out. According to the report, a total of 141 PG students were placed during Tripura University placements 2022. The median package offered to PG (1-year) and PG (2-year) students was INR 3 LPA and INR 2.60 LPA, respectively. For PG (3-year) courses, the median package was INR 10 LPA. So, basically we can say that choice of course depends upon the person's interest but looking into placements, PG sector is better option to pursue at Tripura University.

The CUET PG 2026 admit card is expected to be released in the fourth week of February. Only the registered candidates will be issued the admit card. 

Tripura University offers MD and MS at the PG level for Medical Stream. The final admission to various specialisations of MD and MS are based on NEET PG scores followed by the counselling. The MCC is the conducting body of NEET PG Counselling. As per Tripura cutoff 2023, the closing score of top courses including MD in General Medicine is 6373,  MS in Obstetrtics and Gynaecology is 11512,  MS in General Surgery is 13829.
