UniPune is not very difficult to get admission. Students should qualify the minimum eligibility criteria. Pune University offers admission basis merit and entrance wherein students must secure minimum marks in Class 12 or graduation, depending on the level of course opted. Students should also have valid scores in accepted entrance exams such as ATMA, OEE, GATE, UGC NET or SLET.

Admission to the offered programme is based on the Online Entrance Exam (OEE) conducted by the University. Additionally, there are numerous courses, such as MCA, MMM, Advanced Diploma, MPH, E-MBA, LLM and M.Lib.I.Sc, among others, where the admission process is completely based on merit in the previous qualifying exam (Class 12 for UG admission and UG degree for PG admission). Also known as Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU), all UG, PG, certificate, Diploma and doctoral degrees at SPPU are offered via over 52 departments and institutes housed on and off-campus.
