UniPune admission to a majority of PG and UG courses is based on the Online Entrance Exam (OEE) conducted by the University. The university offers MCA, MMM, Advanced Diploma, MPH, E-MBA, LLM and M.Lib.I.Sc, among others. Admission to a few courses is completely based on merit in the previous qualifying exam. Savitribai Phule Pune University  (also known as UNIPUNE, Pune University and SPPU), is a collegiate public state university. Admission to the offered programme is based on the Online Entrance Exam (OEE) conducted by the University. Additionally, there are numerous courses, such as MCA, MMM, Advanced Diploma, MPH, E-MBA, LLM and M.Lib.I.Sc, among others, where the admission process is completely based on merit in the previous qualifying exam (Class 12 for UG admission and UG degree for PG admission). Also known as Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU), all UG, PG, certificate, Diploma and doctoral degrees at SPPU are offered via over 52 departments and institutes housed on and off-campus.

To apply for Pune University MBA admission, candidates need to visit the official website of the University and register themselves before its last date.

• Candidates who are in the final year of their qualifying exam can appear for OEE conducted by SPPU. However, their admission is subject to passing the qualifying exam.
• For admission to courses offered by the affiliated/unaided colleges under SPPU, candidates are required to visit/ contact the shortlisted institute or apply for MAH CET exam conducted by DTE Maharashtra.
• The application fee for OEE is INR 600 for a single course (for General category students) and is INR 400 (for reserved category candidates).

Savitribai Phule offers multiple scholarships for every category students. To be eligibilbe for the scholarships candidates have to qualify certain criteia:

• For engineering graduates who have confirmed admission to a Master's Degree in Engineering and Technology at a foreign accredited university (D.K. Bhave Scholarship).
• Girls belonging from minority communities in Maharashtra students in grades 5–10 from (Savitribai Phule Scholarship).
• For open category students with a family income less than 2 Lacs (EBC scholarship).
• For single girl children pursuing research work leading to a Ph.D. degree in Social Sciences (Savitribai Jyotirao Phule Fellowship for Single Girl Child).
