UniPune admission to a majority of PG and UG courses is based on the Online Entrance Exam (OEE) conducted by the University. The university offers MCA, MMM, Advanced Diploma, MPH, E-MBA, LLM and M.Lib.I.Sc, among others. Admission to a few courses is completely based on merit in the previous qualifying exam. The university also accepts MAH CET, MAH MCA MET,  CMAT/ CAT/ ATMA and other exams for admission to a number of courses offered at its campus or its affiliated colleges. 

The Department of Management Sciences (PUMBA), Savitribai Phule Pune University, has released the placement stats for its MBA Class of 2024. According to the latest report, the University achieved an 80.7% placement rate for its MBA Class of 2024. UniPune offers UG, PG, Diploma, Certificate and Doctoral level programmes across 50+ departments. The University offers these programmes within the range of INR 3 K to INR 50.42 Lakh. These courses are available in full-time mode for the duration of 4 month to 4 years. UniPune is not very costly as it is a government university.

Recognised by UGC, Pune University is accredited with an 'A+' Grade NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council). Furthermore, SPPU University is popularly known as the 'Oxford of the East'. The Savitribai Phule Pune University was established in 1949 & is one of the premier universities in India. 

UniPune lowest package placement data is not released. However, according to Savitribai Phule Pune University (PUMBA) placement report 2024, the highest and average package offered during UniPune MBA placements over the past three years are presented below:

Additionally, there are numerous courses, such as MCA MMM, Advanced Diploma, MPH E-MBA, LL. M. and M. Lib. ISC among others, where the admission process is completely based on merit in the previous qualifying exam (Class 12 for UG admission and UG degree for PG admission). Thus, students will not be able to get direct admissions to Pune University.

Both the universities are good. However, let us look at the facts related to both the universities. Talking about the Pune University it has been ranked 23 under the 'University' category by the NIRF in 2024. On the other hand, Mumbai University has been ranked 61 in the same category by the NIRF in 2024. Savitribai Phule Pune University is recognised by UGC, it is popularly known as the 'Oxford of the East'.

SPPU is accredited A grade by NAAC. On a contrary, Mumbai University has been approved by the UGC and AIU, this 160-year old university has bagged A+ Grade via NAAC. Looking at these facts, it can be established that Pune University is a better university when compared to Mumbai University.

As per the information available on the web, Pune University exams are not that easy since the competition is high. However, consistent efforts and study help students to pass the exam. Students must go through the notes created in class and books to score well in the exam. The passing mark in Pune University exams is 40%.
