Placements: In this college, placements are good. Amazon and other companies are giving placements. Students get to explore more and other hobbies. Here the engineering and many teachings courses are affordable.

Infrastructure: Our campus is beautiful. Environment is very peaceful, and everything is available in this college. Gym, laboratories, classroom, and library are available on the campus. Our college provides Wi-Fi. The hostel facilities are also good.

Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified, supportive, knowledgeable, helpful, and and they always try to push students to see and achieve opportunities. They always try to encourage students to see and think differently. The pass percentage is also good.

The best university in Pune.

Placements: Placements were provided in various fields like arts, science, technology and commerce. For our batch, most of the placements were provided in the teaching field. The salary package offered was quite good. It was approximately Rs. 25,000 per month.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the university was good compared to various other institutions. It provides well-equipped classrooms, libraries for different subjects, huge play area, sports activities and many more. Grammar master is also available in the university.

Faculty: Staff members in our university were very helpful. They stand for students whenever needed. They provided us with quality teaching and guidance. Teachers used various teaching methods to teach so that students can learn properly.

Other: Various events were held on the campus, which were helpful to students to get scholarships.

The department of English of Pune University is one of the best departments.

Placements: A person with good knowledge of language and literature has many doors open to explore different job titles. One can go for teaching, content writing, creative writing, advertising industry, or prepare for competitive exams. He/she may choose to work as a Translator and even have opportunities in IT and E-commerce if you have good computer operating skills. M.A. in English being a course of language, you don't have direct placement drives, instead, the faculty informs the students about the placements as they or the department get approached. The average package you get is 2.5 to 3 LPA and also depending on what and where you work. After completing the degree, many students have started working as Teachers, Content Writers, and Freelancers and many are preparing for NET / SET exams for being research scholars. Some are placed in the Finance and IT sectors as well.

Infrastructure: The department of English of Savitribai Phule Pune University is situated on the campus itself in the 'Khair Wangmay' building. It is one of the oldest departments of the University. The classrooms are airy and spacious. Department has its own library, a conference hall, Wi-Fi connectivity, projectors and other facilities needed for students and teachers. Talking about hostel facilities, the hostels of the University are good. What you get in the money/fees you pay for a hostel is really worth it. The quality of food at the University should be a little more good but you have options for tiffin services here as well. University has a Health centre for students which is free of cost for them. We have a sports complex, ground, gym, and food mall nearby as well.

Faculty: The department of English has a glorious history of extraordinary faculty. The department and the faculty are very much students-friendly and cooperative. Professors try their best to help students to grow with aesthetic values and deep knowledge of language and literature. The department offers a variety of courses in literature and courses related to literature such as film studies, history books, translation studies, creative writing, writing for media, the teaching of English in India, etc. These are not taught in many other universities in the country. The reason behind this is to make students ready to conquer different opportunities related to the field of language. Department organises many seminars and conferences.

Other: I personally chose this course because I have been always interested in literature and especially in English literature. And I chose Pune University because it is one of the best universities in the state and in India. The atmosphere of the university is positive for academics and you get to be a part of and enjoy extracurricular activities as well. The course structure of M.A. English has a variety of subjects. Students have to complete four courses each semester. The best thing about the course is you get to know many other areas of language and literature which are associated with it. We have international students here as well. Government scholarships and University scholarships for girls are available depending on the criteria of marks and reservations.
