Amazing Campus life and Environment.

Placements: I am pursuing LL.M. in the Law Department of Savitribai Phule University and the Batch is 2019-2020 comprising of 120 students. LL.M. in this university is a one year course having specialisation in Business Law, Constitutional law, Health law and International Law. Talking about the placement, we have a placement cell which is coordinated by the Examination coordinator of our department. Almost 30% students wee placed last year in law firms in Mumbai and under some eminent lawyers in Pune and Delhi.

Infrastructure: My department has good infrastructure. The library is also well-equipped with the law books as well as competitive exam books. Also, we have a computer lab with almost 40 Computers in it. Further we have a seminar hall and 3 classrooms, 1 reading room and spacious area to sit, have small functions or to have plays. There is a canteen just alongside our department. Talking about the hostel, their are 9- 10 girls hostel and same for the boys. The rooms are good enough, some have bunker beds while the other have single beds. The rooms are in sharing which extends to 8 people sharing one room. The quality of food in the mess is not good, this is the reason why the students prefer tiffin service or going to Refactory canteen or NCC Canteen which is inside the campus only. The medical facilities are free of cost for the students of the university and specialised doctors are there. The university has a big ground for playing cricket or football. It also has a gym and two jogging tracks are also made inside the campus, print our shops and fruit shops are also inside the campus. The campus is full of trees and the ambience is very peaceful and calm.

Faculty: Mine is Law faculty and course is LL.M. The teachers are very helpful and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is okayish as the teacher just read out what from their notes or the PPT that they show, but they are always ready to help us whenever we need. The course curriculum is relevant as per me. In our first semester we have constitution law, Law and justice in Globalized World, Research Methodology and our specialisation subjects. Further we have an continuous assessment, where every week we have tutorials in form of group discussion or viva or presentations. We also have to prepare a short report basically called as research paper for our specialisation subject and one from the core subjects.

Other: Choose the course because I have completed my 5 year integrated law and wanted to pursue my further studies in Business law. The best thing about my course it that it enhances your knowledge and keeps you up to date. This university provides one year LL.M. this is also one of the reason of joining the course over here. There are majority of marathi students in the campus, so if you are a outsiders you will have a little problem in your initial days in settling down and adjusting with the environment with the area. Many conferences and seminars are frequently held in the university. The campus life is also amazing only when you are able to adjust otherwise you will have a difficult time staying there. The surroundings are amazingly beautiful, there is a lot of greenery in the campus. Talking about outside environment, there is a mall known as "Pavillion Mall" which is 10 minutes by walk and a famous temple known as "Chaturshrungi temple" near the university, Also a lot of food joints are there near the university. The university provides many scholarships but only to the students of Maharashtra and even earn and learn scheme is available to them.

The eligibility criteria of LLM course of SPPU is LLB/ BA LLB/ BSL LLB. As per the other colleges regulations Integrated LLB students are eligible for LLM courses, So BBA LLB, B.Com LLB or even B.Sc.
