Lucknow University admits entrance tests through UGET, UGPET, PGET, CUET, CUET-PG and JEE Main. Admission to MBA is on basis of LUMET and personal interview. The Basic Teachers Training admission is JEE Main and then followed by UPTU Counselling

Lucknow University Management Entrance Test (LUMET) is a pen and paper based entrance examination. The test duration is 90 minutes. Candidates have to solve 100 MCQs within the given time period. LUMET questions are based on Quantitative Aptitude, Data Interpretation, Logical Reasoning, Verbal Ability, Comprehension and General Awareness. Each question carries 2 marks. Yes, for Lucknow University admission to the undergraduate and postgraduate courses, entrance test called, the Undergraduate Entrance Test (UGET) and Postgraduate Entrance Test (PGET) is conducted by the university for UG and PG admission. Lucknow University also conducts the Under Graduate Professional Entrance Test (UGPET) for admission to the BBA and BCA courses. For UG and PG courses, the university also accept CUET-UG and CUET-PG exam scores.

The median package offered to the batch 2025 is yet to be released. The overall median package offered during Lucknow University placements 2024 was INR 8.3 LPA. Earlier, it was INR 14.4 LPA in 2023.

Through CUET PG, candidates were permitted to take admission at Lucknow University for MCA course in 2024. As per the Lucknow University CUET PG cutoff 2024, the needed rank to get into the university for MCA course stood at 16804 for the General Home State category. Moreover, the cutoff remained the same for the OBC Home State category candidates too.
