Yes, interested candidates can apply for distance learning courses through the Institute of Distance & Open Learning (IDOL), University of Mumbai. It offers various UG, PG, and Diploma courses in several specialisations. Students at the Institute of Distance & Open Learning (IDOL), University of Mumbai get placed at renowned organizations. It also offers various scholarship schemes. Admission to all the courses is offered based on a valid score in the qualifying exam except for MCA. Mumbai University is a public state University located in Mumbai. The University is ranked 45 under the 'University' category by the NIRF 2022, the University of Mumbai, informally known as Mumbai University (MU) is one of the oldest state universities in India. Approved by the UGC and AIU, this 160-year old University bagged A+ Grade via NAAC. The colleges affiliated to Mumbai University allows admission via MHTCET exam. Candidates were allowed to participate in the counselling process based on their scores in the MHTCET exam. To appear in the exam, candidates must have passed Class 12 or the equivalent examination from a recognised board/university with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as the compulsory subjects. Admission criteria to Mumbai University is both, merit and entrance based and is different for all programmes. To get into UG programmes, the eligibility criteria is the minimum aggregate in Class 12 or equivalent, along with entrance exams for a few courses. Yes, Mumbai University LLM course is offered at the Postgraduate - PG level. The University offers an LLM programme for a duration of 2 years. Admission to LLM is given on the entrance examination basis. Interested students can appear for the MU LLM CET Examination, which is an online examination conducted by the university. However, candidates are required to be eligible for the programme.

Eligibility Criteria: LL.B. degree of this University or a degree recognised as equivalent thereto.

The university follows norms of Maharashtra State Government for seat reservation. For SC category students, 13% seats are reserved, 7% for ST students, 19% for OBC students. 11% of seats are reserved combined for NT (B), NT (C), NT (D) and DT (A) categories.
