One will feel utmost secure at HR College of Commerce & Economics.
Placements: HR College of Commerce and Economics had a batch size of 800 during my time. Out of 800, around 300 were placed through campus placements. Pharmaceutical, IT, FMCG, and Finance sector companies were some of the major recruiters that came for placements.
Infrastructure: Our college did not have any hostels. Mostly 80% of students were from Mumbai, so a hostel wasn't that necessary. A five-floor, top-class building with 8–10 classrooms on each floor. It also had water coolers and separate male and female washrooms, making it a campus worth visiting daily. The library was decent. Half of the floor was dedicated to the library.
Faculty: I didn't have any security because our professional faculty members made sure we had none. With over 1,000 doubts, our faculty members were like, no problem, we will address them all. Also, they weren't strict even if students had low attendance. So friendly and equally knowledgeable were the HR faculty members.
Other: The crowd is what makes HR one of the most famous colleges in Mumbai. The Commerce department used to host its own fest named Blaze, and it attracted 2,000+ students as attendees across all three years.

Somaiya College is the best college.
Placements: The business school showcases an excellent recruitment process. It drives candidates towards banking, financial services, consulting, and corporate management roles. I got an offer from Google through my project. All the credit goes to my teacher, Santosh Sir.
Infrastructure: Facilities are very good. For sports, it is the best college. I like the sports complex, as it has very good infrastructure. The canteen is also very good. There are various types of canteens, including the B.Tech canteen and another. The food is very nice.
Faculty: Teachers give full importance to every lecture and every student. The semester exams are very easy. I scored 95% in my last semester. One thing I like is that all teachers give importance to important questions, and these questions are very helpful during the exams.
Other: Lots of students receive scholarships through good academic performance. Faculty is very good. The fees are high, but the events are very nice, and we enjoy participating in them.

HR College provides a balanced college life.
Placements: Placements were few, but still around 40% of students from the 2026 B.Com batch got placed. Big 4, Col-Pal, Hindustan Unilever, and various other MNCs recruited from HR College of Commerce and Economics. The best talent was hired, and unfortunately, I missed out, but many of my friends were placed with packages in the 6–9 LPA range.
Infrastructure: Just like various other colleges in South Bombay, our college also has a one-building campus. It is a five-floor building with the admin department on the ground floor and classrooms on the upper floors. The things that should be changed are that there is no auditorium and no canteen, but the classrooms and library are top-class.
Faculty: University name may have been changed from Mumbai University to HSNC University. But most of our faculty members have been teaching since it was affiliated with Mumbai University. Thus, all teachers possess years of experience. Their teaching and doubt-clearing abilities align well with students' understanding.
Other: Being a top college in Mumbai located in Churchgate, the crowd and overall atmosphere are very good. Shaan is a fest that also sees attendees from various Bollywood fraternities.

There is no great reason to take admission here.
Placements: My batch is B.Sc. in Computer Science, 2023–2026. There are almost 120 students per year. Around 120 students in the first year, second year, and third year. According to reservations, there are concessions in fees. There are no placements and no internships at all.
Infrastructure: Only classrooms are good. There is no Wi-Fi connection for students. It is only available to staff and in computer labs. In total, there are 3 computer labs with good connectivity and the newest version of Windows in two labs. One lab has an old Windows system.
Faculty: Teachers are nice only if we do not oppose them. The non-teaching staff is very good compared to the teaching staff. They support us if we are late by mistake. The course curriculum is as per Mumbai University. It is not really industry-ready. Semester exams are not that difficult if we go through the notes and PYQs.
Other: The college needs improvement.

Absolutely satisfied with the teaching quality.
Placements: Many undergraduate students get internships. Good placements are offered to students after completing their respective courses. Top companies like TCS also recruit students from the college. The average percentage of students getting placed is around 40%.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available on every floor. Labs and classrooms are neatly maintained. The Gymkhana and its facilities are awesome. Food available in the canteen is also good. All classrooms have digital boards installed. Intra-college events are also worth the hype!
Faculty: The college faculty is outstanding. The teaching quality is very good. It does make students industry-ready. All teachers are highly qualified. The curriculum of the course is also relevant and focuses on the maximum benefit of students. The semester exams are difficult.

Faculty and facilities provided are mid and not too bad, not too good. Crowd is okay.
Placements: Most of the students go for a Master's. Sales roles are usually offered. Top companies include Abbott and TCS. TCS offers core pharma roles like RA, clinical research, and Pharmacovigilance. The package offered is around 2 LPA-3LPA for sales. Medical underwriting roles for insurance and other companies are also offered.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available. Classrooms, libraries, and laboratories are usable. The canteen is small, food is okay. Washrooms' hygiene is not so good. The auditorium is huge but old-fashioned. No hostel facilities are available. Sports and game facilities are not that good.
Faculty: Faculty members are experienced for the most part. Earlier, the college had excellent professors, but they left, I don't know much about the new ones, some of the old staff is there. Course curriculum is outdated, very theoretical, not that industry-oriented. Students need to learn skills outside of the course curriculum to be employable. Semester exams are by Mumbai University. Difficulty level varies. You need above 50/100 to pass, includes internals (25 marks) and a theory exam (75 marks).
Other: Fests do happen, and it's fun.
