UPES Dehradun Course Admissions 2025: Fees, Eligibility, Dates & Selection Process

As per the information collated from student reviews, UPES Dehradun has limited hostel facility. The campus cannot accommodate all students. However, there are a multiple private hostels available outside the main campus. Students can choose from them as an alternative option.

MBA is a two-year course divided into four semesters. UPES Dehradun offers MBA in 25 specialisations under 12 core streams through the UPES School of Business. The Global MBA course of UPES is offered for a duration of two-year with one-year in campus and another year in overseas universities. Check below some of the MBA specialisations:

BTech is one of the popular courses of UPES - Experience Centre. As per NIRF 2022 rankings, the university was ranked at 61 position under 'Engineering' category. The rankings saw a jump from 91 position in 2021 and 167 position in 2020. Apart from the Engineering course, UPES - Experience Centre was also the part of NIRF Ranking under 'University' category. Recently, the university also found a place in 'Overall' category of NIRF 2022 rankings. Not only in terms of position, the university also provides excellent placement opportunities to BTech students. As per the latest report, over 250 recruiters participated and presented over 2,000 job offers to the class of 2023. UPES Dehradun admission to BCA course is based on CUET-UG. Aspirants who have not appeared for the entrance exam can come for personal interview round. Additionally, candidates who have passed Class 10 and Class 12 with at least 50% aggregate along with Mathematics/ Computer Science/ Information Technology as one of the major subjects in Class 12 can apply for the BCA course. After completion of the selection rounds, aspirants need to pay course fee to confirm their seat in the university. There are a total of 60 seats in the BCA course. The total tuition fee for BCA ranges between INR 3.42 Lacs and INR 4.82 Lacs as per an unofficial source. The fee excludes hostel charges and other admission expenses.

Aspirants are required to pay the course fee after completion of all the selection rounds to confirm their seats. The selection to BPharma course will be based on national-level entrance exams like CUET UG/ NEET.

Yes, UPES Dehradun conducts UPESMET for aspirants who did not appear or secured the required marks in CAT, MAT, XAT, CMAT, NMAT, CUET PG or GMAT exams. UPESMET is an online entrance exam conducted for a duration of 2.5 hours. Check below the exam pattern for UPESMET:

UPES Dehradun accepts JEE Main/ CUET UG score for admission to BTech/ BTech (Hons) course. Aspirants must also Class 10 and Class 12 with at least 50% aggregate and a minimum of 50% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, Maths/ Biology, and English in Class 12 to apply with JEE Main or CUET score. Candidates must secure at least 50 percentile for admission to through SAT India score. For aspirants who wish to apply with their merit in the last qualifying exam must pass Class 10 and Class 12 with at least 75%-80% aggregate and a minimum of 75%-80% aggregate in Class 12 PCM subjects.  UPES Dehradun offers over 72 courses at the UG, PG and PhD levels through nine schools and UPES Centre for Continuing Education (CCE). The courses are offered in multiple streams like Engineering, Management, Science, Business, etc. The university conducts its own entrance exams like UPESMET, UPESMET UG, UPESPAT, etc. for providing admission to specific courses. Apart from these, UPES Dehradun also accepts national-level entrance exams like CAT, MAT, XAT, CUET UG, NEET, JEE Main, etc. Candidates after completing Class 12 can apply for UG courses. A minimum of graduation is required for PG courses.

All students who have applied for admission to UPES MBA courses (regular) except Global Pathway Program (GPP) and have done graduation from any recognised university exam (mentioned under AIU) shall be eligible for consideration for this scholarship. However, this Scholarship shall be awarded only to those students who have complied with below-defined scholarship criteria for the first year. There is no subsequent renewal.

Students studying at UPES Dehradun must maintain 75% attendance in the entire semester in all subjects and cumulative. All students must meet this criteria to proceed with examinations. However, as per the information available on different web sources, students cannot exceed a limit of 25% of leaves even in the case of any personal affairs.

UPES Dehradun cutoff for the MBA course is based on NMAT scores. As per the last NMAT 2023 scores for admission to UPES , the minimum NMAT cutoff was 140 for the General All India Quota. Also, in 2022, the NMAT score for university was the same at 140, hence it can be concluded that there has been no change in NMAT cutoffs in last two years.
