However, candidates starting their preparation for X-GMT around two or three months before the exam will have to put in extra effort. XGMT exam has a total of four sections. All these four sections have multiple choice questions. The overview of the sections in the XGMT exam is mentioned below:

- Data Interpretation (DI)
- Emotional Quotient and General Awareness (EQ & GA)
For each correct response in XGMT exam, candidates get 3 marks. Whereas, 1 mark is deducted for any incorrect response. There is no negative marking for unattempted questions.
XGMT exam has questions in English medium. Candidates do not have an option for XGMT exam in any medium other than English.
