X-GMT 2024 question papers might release at the official website soon after the exam. XIM University will conduct X-GMT 2024 in the first week of January 28. Q:   How is XGMT exam conducted?

A:

The X-GMT exam also known as Xavier General Management Aptitude Test is a computer-based test (CBT) to assess the aptitude of candidates in various fields such as decision-making, logical reasoning, and problem-solving. The exam is conducted in various centres across six cities in India.

 

Q:   What are the sections included in XGMT syllabus?

A:

XGMT exam has a total of four sections. All these four sections have multiple choice questions. The overview of the sections in the XGMT exam is mentioned below:

  • Quantitative Aptitude (QA)
  • Verbal Ability & Logical Reasoning (VA & LR)
  • Data Interpretation (DI)
  • Emotional Quotient and General Awareness (EQ & GA)
 

Q:   What are the type of questions asked in Quantitative Aptitude section of XGMT exam?

A:

XGMT exam has four sections, including Quantitative Aptitude that accesses the math skills and logic through:

  • Basic math (percentages, averages)
  • Algebra (equations, inequalities)
  • Number properties (divisibility, prime numbers)
  • Geometry (areas, volumes - less common)
  • Data analysis (interpreting charts & graphs)
  • Probability (arrangements, combinations)
 

Q:   What is the marking scheme in XGMT exam?

A:

XGMT exam is an online MCQ based test conducted for MBA admission. Candidates need to choose one correct option out of four answer options available in the XGMT exam. The marking scheme for XGMT exam is mentioned below:

  • 3 marks are awarded for each correct answer marked by the candidate
  • 1 mark is deducted for everty incorrect answers marked by the candidate
  • No negative marking prevails for the unattempted questions in the XGMT exam

A:

XGMT exam comprises multiple choice questions, also known as the objective type questions. Candidates appearing for the XGMT exam will find questions from four sections, including

  • Quantitative Aptitude
  • Data Interpretation
  • Verbal Ability and Logical Reasoning
  • Emotional Quotient and General Awareness

All four sections have Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).

Why Solving X-GMT Sample Papers are Important?

Solving X-GMT sample papers and previous year question papers is an essential part of the exam preparation plan. It equips the candidate with adequate skills and experience for the X-GMT exam. By practising X-GMT sample papers and mock tests, candidates will also get a good idea about the X-GMT exam pattern, syllabus, structure, marking scheme and difficulty level of the question paper. It will not only help you ace the time factor but also boost your confidence level. Solving mocks would also help you discover your strength and weakness based on which you can make adequate changes in your X-GMT preparation plan.

Q:   What is the medium of questions appearing in XGMT exam?

A:

Candidates planning to take the XGMT exam, it is important to note that all the questions in the exam are in English medium. This means that candidates will have to be proficient in English language to understand and answer the questions. Additionally, all the answer options for the questions will also be in English medium. Therefore, it is recommended that candidates brush up their English language skills before taking the exam to ensure that they are able to choose the correct answer option and achieve a good score.

 

Q:   What is the duration of X-GMT exam?

A:

XGMT exam will have around 100 to 125 MCQ type questions to be answered within 120 minutes. Candidates must note that they will have an average of about 1.2 minutes to answer each question. However, It's important to note that the exact number of questions may vary across different shifts of the exam. The time allotted remains 120 minutes, that is two hours, to answer all the questions that appear in the admission test.

 

Q:   How many answer options are there in each question of XGMT exam?

A:

Candidates appearing for the XGMT exam will find four answer options for each question. Out of these answer options one option will be correct. Candidates marking the correct answer option will fetch (+)3 marks. On the contrary, if a candidate marks an incorrect response, he/she will have to face a penalty of 1 mark each incorrect response.

 

Q:   What is the importance of Verbal Ability and Logical Reasoning section of XGMT exam?

A:

The Verbal Ability & Logical Reasoning section of the X-GMT is a two-pronged test. It checks your grasp of the English language and ability of candidates to think critically. Candidates will encounter questions that assess your vocabulary, reading comprehension, and how you identify patterns or connections within written information. Basically, it tests if you can understand what you read, analyse it logically, and express yourself clearly. 

 

When to Start Practising X-GMT Question Papers?

If you are starting your preparation five to six months in advance, you can devote your time to cover the X-GMT syllabus and ensure that you are thorough with important formulae and theorems. Once you are done with the syllabus, then you can move on to solving sample papers. However, if you have started preparing for X-GMT a couple of months before the exam, you are required to put in the extra effort. Covering the X-GMT syllabus and solving mocks should go hand in hand. X-GMT exam is held in January last week. You can start solving mocks latest by the first week of November.
