XGMT exam will have around 100 to 125 MCQ type questions to be answered within 120 minutes. Candidates must note that they will have an average of about 1.2 minutes to answer each question. However, It's important to note that the exact number of questions may vary across different shifts of the exam. The time allotted remains 120 minutes, that is two hours, to answer all the questions that appear in the admission test.
Candidates appearing for the XGMT exam will find four answer options for each question. Out of these answer options one option will be correct. Candidates marking the correct answer option will fetch (+)3 marks. On the contrary, if a candidate marks an incorrect response, he/she will have to face a penalty of 1 mark each incorrect response.
When to Start Practising X-GMT Question Papers?
If you are starting your preparation five to six months in advance, you can devote your time to cover the X-GMT syllabus and ensure that you are thorough with important formulae and theorems. Once you are done with the syllabus, then you can move on to solving sample papers. However, if you have started preparing for X-GMT a couple of months before the exam, you are required to put in the extra effort. Covering the X-GMT syllabus and solving mocks should go hand in hand. X-GMT exam is held in January last week. You can start solving mocks latest by the first week of November.
