Hostel Facilities at Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University

The college has four hostels nearby, two for boys and two for girls. The two boys' hostels go by the name Shivalik Inn and Aravali Inn and the two girls' inns are named Nilgiri Inn and Satpura Inn. Every hostel has more than 180 single-seat rooms. Each room is furnished with essential furniture like a bunk, sleeping cushion, pad, seat, table, pantry, tube light and fan. A gymnasium, an understanding room and sports offices are likewise accessible for occupants. There is an arrangement for nonstop water and power offices for the hostels. Student Engagement Activities
Co-curricular activities at Guru Gobind Singh Indraprasth University include various cultural programs and sports events.
Sports coaching facilities include Sports Exercises: Inter-University Competitions of the different games and yearly University Sports Meet (for every single subsidiary foundation and USS) support in public, state and college level games competitions. There are devoted courts and fields for Volleyball, Football, Cricket, Badminton, Tennis, Kabaddi track and field and ground for social exercises by clubs under Srijan.
Significant Occasions: Volleyball (Men and Women), Football (Men and Women), Disk Toss (Men and Women), Shotput (Men and Women), Race (100m/200m/400m/500m) (Men and Women), Cross-country Race, Long Leap (Men and Women), Back-and-forth (Men and Women), Cricket, Ball, Badminton, Kabadi, Working out, Weight training Power Lifting, Tennis.
The counselling process for IPU BTech started on Jun 6. Currently, counselling is ongoing for various courses at GGSIPU. The document verification and seat allotment first round for BDes/MDes was carried out on Jul 28. IPU CUET counselling begins at the end if the seats are left vacant after the counselling rounds, wherein admission is based on merit in the national level exam or IPU CET. Aspirants shall frequently check the university website to stay updated related to the counselling schedule.
Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University has a state-of-the-art infrastructure. The library at IP University is centrally air-conditioned and fully automated. The library is well stocked with 67,000 books, 12,000 e-books, 15,000 journals, and subscriptions to 14 online databases. Remote access is available to the students and faculty for the resources along with the WebOPAC facility. Besides all these facilities, students also have access to 05 DPL's Zonal Libraries and 37 library units across Delhi. The students can avail of Newspaper archives from 1952+ and 6000+ e-resources.
Instructing/Preparing Offices: Extraordinary training and preparing offices in the direction of qualified and experienced mentors for significant games like Football, Volleyball, Tennis, Badminton, Kabaddi, Cricket, Olympic-style events, Yoga and so on.
Annual cultural programs are celebrated every year to cherish college culture. The list of events to be conducted at this Fest is Classical Vocal Solo (Hindustani or Karanatak), Light Vocal (Indian), Western Vocal (Solo), Group Song (Indian), Group Song (Western), Folk Dance, Choreography, Classical Dance, Nach Baliye, Foot Loose, Street Dance, Quiz, Debate (Hindi), Debate (English), Creative Writing(Hindi), Creative Writing(English), Poetry Recitation(Hindi), Poetry Recitation(English), Just-a-minute (Hindi), Just-a-minute (English), One Act Play, Kavi Sammelan, NSD Play, Street Play, Mono Acting, On the Spot Painting, Collage, Clay Modeling, Cartooning, Rangoli, Battle of Bands, Mr. & Ms Anugoonj, Programs on Women Safety, Anti-Tobacco, Talent show for students with special needs etc.
Apart from college fests, the presence of Srijan Clubs gives the students an opportunity to unravel their creative genius. Following are the clubs created by Srijan operating under its supervision. Photography & Film Club, Literary Club, Dramatics Club, Publication Club, Music Club, Dance Club, Fine Arts Club, Science Club, Nature Club, Constitution Club, Gender Champions Club, and Corporate Social Responsibility Club for students with various interests.
GSGIPU has a lot of sports amenities and resources. Both men and women can select any kind of game and sport, such as cricket, volleyball, football, basketball, powerlifting, body lifting, table tennis, yoga, arm wrestling, bodybuilding, badminton, lawn tennis, etc. The facilities of the GGSIPU have a number of playgrounds where students can enjoy and have fun during their free time. Basketball and football grounds are available, where students can play either a match or have fun. It has a volleyball court as well. It has 12 technical clubs and 12 cultural clubs to cater to the interest of the students.
