- During their first year of college, students must register on the Training and Placement website and are recommended to check the portal periodically for updates. They must also keep their semester results and resumé on the site up to date.
- Students must have their qualifications and other documents confirmed by the placement cell during their sixth semester of college.
- During the placement season, qualifying students can apply for jobs.
- Businesses participating in the placement drive can access students' resumes and shortlist them based on their qualifications, previous experience, and academic achievements.
- The GGSIPU Placement cell notifies the shortlisted students of the next round of selection.
- Following multiple rounds, selected candidates are notified by the company of their selection.

GGSIPU is a government university. GGSIPU is a UGC approved university. Being a government university, the fee for various courses is not very high. The tuition fee for UG/ PG courses like BTech is INR 2.3L - INR 7.4L & M.Tech is INR 1.9 L - INR 2.8 L.

BTech tuition fees at GGSIPU is INR 7.6 Lacs for all BTech courses in the academic year 2026. However, candidates are also required to pay other fees in the form of university charges, alumni deposit, development and infrastructure fees and others on top of the aforementioned tuition fees.

If the candidates are applying for BTech courses other than BTech in Biotechnology, then the JEE Mains is a mandatory entrance exam for GGSIPU admission. For BTech in Biotechnology admission, candidates need to appear in either the IPU CET or CUET-UG.
