SRM IST MPhil Admission 2021

MPhil programme of two-year duration at SRM IST is available in four specialisations. SRMIST MPhil admission 2021 is offered to eligible candidates based on a department-specific entrance exam, conducted by the SRM Deemed-to-be University, followed by a PI round. The below table indicates the seat intake for each course along with its minimum eligibility requirements:

SRM IST Fellowship Admission 2021

SRM IST offers five fellowships and one associate fellowship course to the students. The duration for associate programmes is three months while the duration for fellowship courses range from one to two years. Candidates seeking enrolment must meet the minimum eligibility criteria as specified across each specialisation offered under this course in the table below:

In addition to MPhil and fellowship courses, the deemed University also offers a PhD programme across all the streams and branches offered at SRM IST Chennai with 60 specialisations. Available in full-time and part-time mode, the minimum duration for a full-time PhD lies between three and five years (including course work) and for a part-time PhD, it lies between three and six years (including course work).

SRM IST PhD Eligibility Criteria 2021

Candidates must have a two-year master's degree or a professional degree equivalent to Masters with at least 55% aggregate or grade 'B' in the UGC 7-point scale. Also, those who have cleared the MPhil with at least 55% aggregate or its equivalent grade 'B' in the UGC 7-point scale can apply.

SRM IST PhD Selection Criteria 2021

Candidates are required to appear for an entrance test conducted by SRM IST for admission to PhD. This test could either be conducted via PBT or CBT mode. This test is followed by a presentation and PI round conducted by the related department. However, those who’ve qualified UGC-NET (including JRF)/ UGC-CSIR NET (including JRF)/ SLET/ GATE or teacher fellowship holders are exempted from writing the deemed University-level entrance exam for admission.
