Workshops & Projects in Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University

GGSIPU provides distance learning programs at the bachelor's and master's degree levels, and the courses are approved by the Distance Education Bureau.

Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University or GGSIPU, often known as Indraprastha University or IPU is a State University. The teaching-cum-affiliating university is NAAC-accredited with a grade of A and is recognised by the UGC. It also belongs to the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) and the Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU). Furthermore, the National Medical Commission has authorised the medical courses offered by the university (NMC). The NIRF has ranked it 79 in the University category in 2021. GGSIPU currently provides more than 50 courses at the undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral levels in Engineering, Management, Medicine, Law, and Commerce, among other fields. The University is well-known for its programs in law, management, engineering, and computer applications. The IPU CET is the University's official entrance and scholarship exam. The university also provides distance learning programs at the bachelor's and master's degree levels, and the courses are approved by the Distance Education Bureau (DEB).

Workshops Organised by GGSIPU

1. Cloud-based Hands-on Workshop: Computer-Aided Drug Design Workflow In collaboration with Schrödinger (2022): CEPS hosted a workshop on Cloud-based Hands-on: Computer Assisted Drug Design Workflow on December 1 and 2, 2022, to gain hands-on experience with Molecular Modelling tools deployed in Maestro. The need for in silico-based drug discovery makes the entire process fast-paced by applying powerful computational tools/ algorithms to explore the molecular mechanism(s) of various diseases, which could be treated in detail at an atomic level. This session assisted students in comprehending and discovering numerous ways that could be applied in the drug development process.

2. International Conference on the unrooted identities of Nomadic People - The Issues of Structural Marginalisation and Struggle Status (2022): The University Faculty of Law and Legal Studies sponsored an international conference on the subject The Unrooted Identities of Nomadic People: The Problems of Structural Marginalisation and Struggle Status, on January 9 and 10, 2023.

3. Workshop on Short Documentary Production (2022): The University School of Mass Communication organised a workshop on Short Documentary Production' in collaboration with Megacities Short Docs, a Paris-based Film Festival.

4. Cancer Awareness Event (2022) : On September 12, 2022, the University School of Biotechnology hosted a cancer awareness program to raise awareness among students about the need of combating this devastating disease. The purpose of the event was to raise awareness about Preventable Cancers in India.

5. Faculty Development Program - Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (2022): GGSIP University sponsored a one week faculty development session on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. The workshop's major goal was to give participants the insights and techniques for conducting relevant research that would improve analytical decision-making and contribute to the corpus of knowledge in their respective areas of interest. The program was created to teach young researchers about modern research procedures and to introduce them to more advanced strategies for rational and scientific research.

6. Invitation for International Conference on Matters of Life: Human Scapes and Scopes (2022): In partnership with the International American Studies Association, the GGSIPU School of Humanities and Social Science held the 10th IASA World Congress, an International Conference on Matters of Life: Human Scapes and Scopes.

7. Data Visualisation and Bibliometric Analysis (2021): An online workshop on Data Visualisation and Bibliometric Analysis was presented by USMS in collaboration with IIQAC. The goal of the workshop was to acquire a grasp of bibliometric data sources, data processing, and bibliometric analysis performance indicators, as well as to comprehend the array of data visualisation tools and the newest methods for powerful communication.

The workshops are free for the students of GGSIPU. The workshops are conducted virtually and on campus for the students. The students are intimated through email about the upcoming workshops and projects.
