Managing time is crucial while preparing for competitive exams. Practice more each day, pay close attention to the mistakes and work towards filling the gaps are important tips for clearing an entrance exam.

COMEDK stands for Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka. COMEDK is a state-level examination, which is conducted by the State Board of Karnataka. Currently, there are around 190 engineering colleges, affiliated to COMEDK.

Tips and tricks for last week preparation

COMEDK UGET examination is going to be conducted on May 10, 2020. Many of the aspirants must be on the verge of completing their preparation and are about to start revision. Always keep some last week tips in mind; these might help in securing high scores in the examination. Some of the last week tips are given below:

  • Avoid preparing new topics
  • Time management
  • Pay close attention to the mistakes committed while preparation
  • Clarify the doubts, if any, as soon as possible
  • Conduct self-evaluation through mock tests
  • If possible, keep attempting short quizzes, which are available in online, group discussions
  • Take out some time especially for yourself to reduce stress and anxiety levels
  • Work on attempting question paper wisely
  • Revise thoroughly (Especially previous year question papers)
  • Eat healthy and stay fit, sleep for 7-8 hours and rest well
  • Try to attempt all the questions as there is no negative marking

Manage time effectively

Time management is a very crucial step in any competitive examination like COMEDK UGET. Learn time management while writing mock tests. Manage the time wisely; this would help in attempting the complete question paper.

Scoring Topics

Knowledge of scoring topics plays an important role in competitive examinations like COMEDK UGET. To know about scoring topics, at first go through the previous years’ question papers. This way more focus can be put on the scoring topics and the student could revise important topics during preparation.

Revise all the topics

Revision is also a very important part of the preparation process. A proper study plan should be created for every competitive examination. The schedule should include revision of topics, mock tests, clarification of doubts, etc. Revise on a weekly basis; this would help in releasing the pressure during the last month/week of preparation.

Managing Class 12 boards and entrance preparation

Most of the aspirants often find it difficult to manage both board examinations as well as entrance examinations. One thing a student could do is checking syllabus of both the examinations and highlight the common topics and start preparing these first. This would help in easing out the pressure. Along with this, concentrate on running notes and classes as the faculty would keep the focus on both Class 12 board as well as entrance examination. Know the basic concepts, is the key for cracking both boards as well as entrance examinations.
