Review of Techno India University.

Placements: Almost 60% of the students are placed in our batch. The highest salary package offered was 7.5 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was 2.2 LPA. The average salary package offered was 3.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies like Byju's, Cipla, Britannia, TCS, Deltax, Capgemini, Wipro, Accenture, and Paypal visit the campus. Most of the students got internships in Mother Dairy and the rest of the students got in Coca-Cola and some of them are in CRIF. Roles offered are like business development associate, technical support engineer, food production analyst, mobile app development, system engineer, and event manager.

Infrastructure: This course is beautifully designed, and Wi-Fi is available on the campus. Classrooms are well-air-conditioned and very clean, big and spacious. Library is also available. You will receive an Amazon kindle after admission. Hostel is also very good and food qualities are pretty fine and the environment of the hostel is well and the canteens and rooms are hygienic. All kinds of medical facilities are available and hospitals are pretty nearby. There is a playground just beside the hostel. The communication from the hostel to the university is also good. All kinds of sports are available in the hostel.

Faculty: Teachers are very good and much helpful. They are well behaved and also knowledgeable. This course is relevant to the students who want to grow their career in it and have a great interest in biology along with technologies. The course curriculum is pretty much relevant and it makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are not much hard but you need to focus to study subjects. They are not so hard but you need to study throughout the semester. The pass percentage is 30%.

Other: Everything is good and you will get great teachers. Just follow their path as they guide you and you will definitely get success. Practicals should be given more time to explain to the students then it will be good. Otherwise, everything is well and good. You can start your career from here, and you will get opportunities in the whole journey.

It has good infrastructure and facilities, but I am not happy with the course study and placements.

Placements: Only about 30% of the students got placed from college. Mostly medical representative posts were offered by the companies. The salary package offered ranges from 2 LPA - 3.5 LPA. Almost 20% of the students got internship courses, but it was not helpful. The companies that came for placements were Byjus, Nestle, Johnson & Johnson, Omics, etc. We expected better opportunities and chances to highlight our career.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college was good enough. Labs and classrooms were air-conditioned, and we had Wi-Fi facility as well. The library was also properly maintained. Buildings were clean enough, and the labs were also well maintained. Hostels were quite good, and the quality of food served was good.

Faculty: Teachers in our college were knowledgeable and guided us well with proper study materials. But they couldn't meet up to the expectations. There were very few teachers for our course. The course couldn't make students industry-ready though. Students expected more hands-on knowledge, which could have made us more confident with the course.

Other: I had an interest in biology, so I opted for this course, and wanted got to know more about the subject. The syllabus structure and teaching way of teachers could have been better. The practicals were also not very helpful. The campus was attractive, and fests and events held were all up to the mark.

It mainly depends on your interest, but according to me, if you want to start your business in food industry, then you can opt for the food tech, as this field requires less capital in starting as compared to the biotech. There are few chances of getting admission in Heritage college Kolkata for Biotech. So keep a check at counselling round and you will get a seat. All the best for future.
