Great campus and helpful teachers for freshers.
Placements: I'm still in my first year. Placements haven't started for my batch yet. But during orientation, we got to know that the placement records here are really strong. Almost 80–85% of students get placed every year. Big companies like TCS, Wipro, and Infosys visit the campus regularly. The average package is around 4-5 LPA, but seniors who work hard can easily get much higher packages and good internships too.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure for our course is really good. Classrooms are big and clean. Labs have proper working computers. Wi-Fi works well across the campus. The library has plenty of books. It is a peaceful place to study. Hostel facilities are also nice, with clean rooms. The mess food is decent enough to eat daily. The canteen has good options, and basic medical help is always available. There are big grounds for sports and games.
Faculty: Teachers are really helpful and friendly. They know their subjects well. Teaching quality is good. They explain concepts in an easy to understand way. The course curriculum feels pretty relevant. It covers basic practical skills to make us ready for future jobs. Semester exams are not too difficult if you attend classes regularly and study simple notes. Almost everyone passes easily if they study well.

Placements: I am from the B.Tech CSE batch. Around 70-80% of students are placed. Top recruiters include TCS, Infosys, and many other companies that come to our college and hire students. The placement opportunities at this college are very good. Many companies come and hire students.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is well-established. The hostel facilities are also good. The food in the hostel is very good. In the college, all blocks have names, like the Ramanujan Block and many other names. The college also has the Milkha Singh Block, which has a gym on the campus and is also very big.
Faculty: The college faculty members are very good in behaviour. The exams in this college are conducted under supervision with high security, with no cheating cases. My Software Design subject teacher helps me a lot to do my best.
Other: I chose it because I am interested in technology, coding, and software development. CGC University Mohali provides a good campus environment. It has decent infrastructure, well-equipped labs, and supportive faculty. There are also various events, workshops, technical activities, and opportunities to participate in extracurricular activities. Campus life is active. Students get chances to interact with people from different courses. I feel university can improve by providing more practical learning, industry exposure, internships, and real world projects for CSE students. My experience has been good so far. University provides a suitable environment for students who are serious about their studies and career.

Good infrastructure and decent placements, but self-effort is important.
Placements: I am currently pursuing a B.Tech CSE from CGC University. Placements here are decent especially if you work on your skills and maintain good academics. Students from different courses also get placement opportunities, which is a good thing. Around 70-80 percent of students got placed from our course. In previous years the highest package has gone up to 1 crore per annum which was quite impressive. The average package is around 4 LPA-6 LPA. Companies like Infosys, Wipro, TCS, and Capgemini visit the campus regularly. Internships are also available and many students get chances in companies and startups. The top roles offered are in the software field.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of CGC University is quite good and well-maintained. Classrooms are spacious with proper seating and smart boards and the labs are decent with the necessary equipment for practical learning. Wi-Fi is available across the campus. The library is also well-equipped with useful books and study material. Hostel facilities are satisfactory at a cost Rs. 1,00,000 per year. The mess food is average. The canteen has better options, but the cost is high. No sports for normal students only for hostellers or those who are interested can go.
Faculty: Faculty members in CGC University are generally helpful and qualified. Some focus more on theory while others try to include practical concepts as well. Semester exams are not very difficult if you study. The students can learn well with some self-effort.
Other: I am pursuing B.Tech CSE core in the 2nd sem from CGC University. I chose this course because of my interest in technology and programming, and also, my 12th-grade percentage was low.

Anti-ragging and study-oriented college.
Placements: Majorly, all students get placed. Some are just insecure about their pay, but it generally depends on the student. So, the college needs to focus more on students. MNCs come, but they place a very small number of students. So there should be more placement opportunities for a huge number of students.
Infrastructure: Food and water facilities are poor. Many hostellers are tired of the food and water facilities. Electricity is not a problem. The food is below average. Nobody likes it. They only eat it to survive. Food courts are very interesting in college.
Other: Good college, more than average, but still needs to focus on basics like food, water, and buildings. Many events are going on every day, making it very fun. Many sports competitions are always there, along with activities like NCC and NSS. So, college life is not very boring. We should give the college an upper hand for this.

Placements: The placement opportunities for CSE students are average. Around 60–70% of students from the batch get placed through campus drives. The highest package offered is around 1 crore, and the average package is 6–7 LPA. Top recruiters include Microsoft, Amazon, IBM, TCS, Infosys, Capgemini, and Accenture. Many students also secure internships in software development and data analytics.
Infrastructure: CGC University, Mohali, has very good infrastructure with modern classrooms, laboratories, and high-speed Wi-Fi. It also has smart classrooms and a spacious library with a large collection of books and digital resources. The campus is green, clean, and well-maintained. Hostel facilities are decent, with comfortable rooms.

About CGC University, Mohali.
Placements: Placements here are very good, as I hear from people, so I am taking admission here. In recent years, students have got placements with huge packages, such as Rs. 1 crore, by Suraj Yadav. This is a great achievement for our university. So, if you want good placements with fun, you should be a part of this university.
Infrastructure: Apart from studies, the hostel facility is also very good because they provide us with food four times a day. They provide breakfast, lunch, snacks, and dinner. They are very punctual about their work, which is a very great thing. However, some students do some inappropriate things, so this is not the fault of the faculty. They do these things themselves and make the faculty responsible for them.
Faculty: I love faculty because they are very good. They respect every religion and culture and also help students with their studies. They are very sweet with students. They treat us like their own children. They also ask everyone about their problems.
Other: This university is very good. But the only thing I dislike is that some students here do not respect the freshers.

My experience at CGC University, Mohali.
Placements: Packages depend on students' performance, and the startup culture is awesome. More than 90% of students have received internships and placements. Many MNCs regularly hire from the university. Top roles include Software Engineer, CEO, Data Scientist, Sound Editor, and many more.
Infrastructure: We have Wi-Fi, air-conditioned classrooms, Physics labs, Chemistry labs, EEC labs, computer labs, and other facilities for different courses. There is also a good startup culture, along with a library, workshop, and canteen. The hostel provides laundry, gym, mess, and dispensary facilities. The overall quality is good.
Faculty: The teaching quality is good. Teachers are friendly. They explain concepts patiently. The course helps students develop skills for careers such as data science. This is important in the industry. University exams can be tough if students do not study well.
Other: I chose B.Tech CSE-SET because I love coding. The best thing about CSE-SET is that it provides many career options for the future. I feel the amount of homework could be reduced. There are many fests and events that students can enjoy. Overall, everything is good. Study hard, achieve your dreams, and enjoy life.

It depends upon your domicile.
B.Tech admission is offered on the basis of a valid score in JEE Main for Punjab domicile candidates.
For the candidates belonging to other states, the admission to B.Tech is offered on the basis of marks in 10+2 followed by counselling conducted by PTU.
