DCUST College review by a student.

Placements: Average salary package of the college is good for a few branches like Computer Science, Electronics, Mechanical, etc. Only for upper branches, average salary package is 6 LPA. For these branches, only a few students are placed above the average package. The placement rate is bad for the college for a few years.

Infrastructure: There are 4 boys' hostels in the university and 3 girls' hostels in the college. Hostel in the college is big with a capacity of 300 students. In each hostel, there are both single and shared rooms available. For the boys in the boys' hostel, the mess of the hostel is good.

Faculty: There are two semesters in the college, like other colleges, and each semester has two mid-semester exams. Total marks of the college exam are 75. Courses of the college are at an industrial level. Each university labs have high internet connections. The faculty of the college is well qualified, having a Ph.D. in their subjects.

Other: I chose this course at my rank. This college provides a decent package. College has a ground.

It is a pocket-friendly university.

Placements: My college placements are not so good. Only 30-40 students get placed every year in the computer science and engineering branch. The top recruiting company in my college is TCS. The average package is around 6 LPA. In other branches, placements work, but only a few students get a job.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of my college is below average. Roads of this university are broken. Wi-Fi facilities are the worst. Some classes do not have AC. There are four boys' hostels and three girls' hostels for students in the university. Mess food is quite average, but it's not good, but we can eat.

Faculty: Teachers of this university are not helpful. Many teachers are visiting faculty. Literally, the teaching quality is very poor. I think the course curriculum is not relevant. The university does not make students industry-ready. Semester exams are quite predictable. Most of the questions came from the previous year's exam.

Is it right to pursue cs in IIIT sonepat, YMCA, dcrust Murthal instead of any core branches like electrical in NSUT, DTU,Nit kurukshetra?

Yes, it is right to pursue a CS branch in any IIIT rather than a core branch in DTU/NSUT/NIT until and unless you are interested in any of the core branches as I am more interested in Industrial engineering so I've chosen it over any other branch.

Visit the college's previous year’s rankwise admission. With this rank, you can get admission for CSE but every year, the prescribed rank varies, so wait for the counselling result.
