
HSTES Counselling Dates 2026: The Haryana State Technical Education Society (HSTES) will release the HSTES counselling dates in May 2026, tentatively. The HSTES counselling 2026 is held at state level for admission to BE/BTech, BTech (LE), BArch, BPharm/BPharm (LE), and Diploma courses. The HSTES counselling schedule includes dates for all the stages of the counselling process like registration, choice filling, seat allotment, and physical reporting at the assigned institute.
Note that, an online common entrance test (OCET) is held especially for BPharm admission. However, admission to BE/BTech courses is based on the ranks of JEE Main. On the other hand, BArch admission is based on NATA or JEE Main paper 2. Further, BPharm (LE) and BTech (LE) admission is based on qualifying marks. HSTES 2026 counselling application form will be released tentatively in June. To be registered for counselling and admission, candidates will have to fill online application form before final date. No applications will be accepted after last date. While filling form, they will have to submit all required information. Candidates will have to confirm it and if any incorrect details are found, it should be corrected quickly. No correction facility is opened for candidates. Before submitting form, they should check everything. During registration, they will also have to pay counselling fee before final date. Only registered candidates can participate in counselling and admission.

HSTES 2026 Document Verification Dates
All candidates have to upload all necessary documents to the HSTES counselling portal after registration. The candidates have to upload the required documents to the online counselling portal before the last date. The documents uploaded inline will be verified, and only then can candidates proceed to the HSTES counselling choice-filling process. Also, documents will be needed at the time of physical reporting. The following documents must be kept ready:
- Candidates are required to produce any of the following for consideration in Resident of other than Haryana State Category (RoHC) if the candidate does not have their PPP ID:
- Other State “Domicile Certificate” issued by Competent Authority of other State.
- 10+2 or the Latest Qualification Proof from a State Other than Haryana.
- Affidavit from the parents working as Govt. Employee in a State other than the Haryana State.
- Haryana Residence Certificate (In case a candidate has not passed the qualifying exam from the School situated in Haryana)
- Scheduled Caste (SC) Certificate, Deprived Schedule Caste (SCD) certificate, Backward Class Certificate (BCA or BCB), if applicable and creamy layer / annual parental income certificate as per No. 40/13/2024-1SW and should be matched/verified from their PPP ID and a certificate of BC Category issued by the competent authority.
- Certificate in respect of Divyang (PH) Candidates as per as per the PPP ID of the candidate.
- Certificate required to be furnished by the Children & Grandchildren of Freedom Fighters.
- Certificate from wards of Deceased/ Disabled/ Discharged Military/ Para Military Personnel/ Ex-Servicemen or Ex-Personnel of Para-Military Forces.
- Certificate from wards of ex-employees of Indian Defense Services/ Para Military Forces.
- Annual Parental Income, in the case of TFW, BCA and BCB Categories as per the PPP ID of the candidate.
- Income and asset certificate in the case of EWS category.
- Relevant Kashmiri Migrants (KM) certificate in support of their claim from the competent authority or Relief Commissioner.
- Relevant certificate of HGST (Haryana Govt School Topper).

After candidates successfully submit the HSTES application form, they must undergo a document verification process. BPharm candidates, however, need to first qualify in the Online Common Entrance Test (OCET).
To participate in the centralized online HSTES counseling, candidates are required to upload their certificates and documents on the website by the specified key dates. A merit list will be published based on qualifying exam marks for all candidates, except those in the BE/BTech course. Only those whose documents are successfully verified will be included in this merit list. Based on their ranks, candidates can then fill in their choices during the HSTES counseling.
Seats will be allotted according to the candidates' inter-se merit rank, category, and the choices they have filled. Only candidates whose names appear on the HSTES merit list can participate in the choice filling process.

Once registered for HSTES counselling 2026, candidates can select their preferred courses and institutes by logging into the official portal. HSTES Counselling 2026 Seat Allotment Date
HSTES declares the counselling seat allotment result on the official website. After the declaration of the result, the candidate will log in to the counselling website by entering their Roll Number & Password and click on Provisional Seat Allotment result. If a candidate has been allotted a seat then a page showing a provisional seat allotment letter appears which shows the Institute name, branch allotted to a candidate, Allotment Status and reporting duration. Candidate should download Provisional Seat Allotment letter, and should physically report to allotted institute between specified reporting dates for taking admission.
To be considered for a seat upgrade, a candidate must engage in the following round of counselling. After reviewing the terms and conditions, the candidate must select "Accept Participation" and proceed to take part in further counselling. It is recommended that candidates only choose options that are superior to the seat allocated in the previous counselling. Therefore, candidates should prioritise their choices to upgrade. Those who wish to keep their current seat are advised not to participate in subsequent counselling. If a candidate takes part in the second round of counselling and decides that they should have kept their first counselling seat, they can delete all their choices at that stage to retain their original seat.

The PPP ID is a unique eight-digit Family ID designed to establish authentic, verified, and reliable data for all families in Haryana. The Parivar Pehchan Patra (PPP) initiative has been introduced to have a digital record of families, by providing each family with a 8 digit unique ID number.
This ID will be linked to records of births, deaths, and marriages, allowing for automatic updates of family data as life events occur, all with the family's consent. Haryana Candidates should fill out their Parivar Pehchan Patra Number (PPP ID) Number mandatorily while registering for HSTES counselling.
The selection criteria for BTech admission in HSTES counselling is NATA / JEE Main paper 2 ranks. HSTES Counselling Physical Reporting Date
The candidates allotted seats and who want to confirm their admission have to physically report to the allotted institute and deposit the semester fee. Also, at the time of reporting documents will be verified, and only after successful verification, the admisison of the candidates will be confirmed.
