The Bachelor of Vocational Studies (BVoc) is a 3-years bachelor’s programme that undergraduate students can apply to. It develops the students' skills and enables them to work in several industries such as media, software development, testing, politics, human resource, etc. The area of specialisation determines the career scope of this course. It gives exposure to subjects like mathematics, management, business analytics, finance, economics, entrepreneurship, and other disciplines. Students who complete the BVoc programme can apply for the M. Voc course if they intend to go for higher studies.
Syllabus - Important Facts for BVoc

Course duration: BVoc is a 3-year course that is taught over 6 semesters. This includes theory and practicals both.

Recognised Course: Students who complete the B. Voc are not considered freshers. The practical nature of their training makes them eligible to be considered for prominent positions in various sectors.

Exam format: The exam consists of 5 theoretical subjects and 2 software lab subjects. Each subject is of 100 marks, irrespective of whether it is a practical or theoretical subject. Another 100 marks are reserved for the projects that the students submit each semester.

Early Exit: The students can exit the programmes early if they are not interested in completing the course. Students who leave after 1 year of training get a diploma certificate, whereas the students who complete 2 years are bestowed with an advanced diploma certificate.

Practical learning curriculum: The course focuses on practical learning and encourages the students to complete an internship programme. Many colleges and universities collaborate with the top MNCs and companies to give hands-on training to the students during their internship programmes.

Entrance Exams for BVoc
Most universities and colleges organise written exams to evaluate the students' eligibility before enrolling them in BVoc programmes. Some colleges even hold a personal interview after the written test, whereas some universities provide direct admission to the students based on their academic credentials.

The distance programme in BVoc is a 3-year course with an identical syllabus as the regular course.
