JSAT is an easy exam. The test pattern is also simple so you can crack it with basic coverage of JSAT syllabus and some practice. There are 120 MCQs in JSAT, to be completed in 120 minutes. There is no pressure of negative marking or sectional time limit. Moreover, every candidate gets 3 attempts. So, if you haven’t performed in first attempt, you can improve your score in the subsequent attempt.
JSAT syllabus includes all the important topics of Verbal Ability, Logical Reasoning and Quantitative Skills. Candidates must cover English Reading Comprehension, Parajumble, Grammar and Vocabulary. In Logical Reasoning and Quantitative Skills, they are required to cover topics included in the syllabus of an entrance exam for BBA.
JSAT Exam Retake Policy 2026
- If any candidate wishes to improve their JSAT 2026 scores, they can schedule a retake test by paying the required exam fee.
- O.P. Jindal University allows three retakes with INR 1,020 fee per retake.
- Candidates can schedule retakes as per their convenience and availability.

Commonly asked questions
JSAT is an easy exam. Candidates can prepare it by practicing sample papers and test practice of Verbal Ability, Logical Reasoning and Quantitative Skills topics. The questions will be class 12 level for UG courses, so candidates need to mainly brush up the basics and practice a few JSAT sample papers to crack the exam. About 2-3 months of preparation will be enough.
No, there is no negative marking in JSAT. Candidates must understand that JSAT is essentially an aptitude test. It doesn't need extensive preparation and coaching. Basic English comprehension, quantitative and logical reasoning aptitude is tested in this exam. Candidates can prepare for with basic practice and need not worry about the marking scheme as the cut offs are in mid range for admission.
