Yes, the UGAT exam has negative marking. Candidates appearing for the UGAT exam must know that UGAT question paper has negative marking for each incorrect answer that they mark during the exam. Two marks will be awarded to the candidates for each correct answer they mark and 0.5 marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer. Candidates should carefully mark the answers during the exam.

When to start practicing UGAT question paper?
There could different approaches to solving UGAT question papers. If you have started off quite early (around 5 to six months ahead of the exam), you should start practicing mocks only after covering the entire syllabus. However, if you have started your preparation of late, you can simultaneously cover important topics under UGAT syllabus and practice mocks. If you succeed in solving at least 15 to 20 mocks over a period of two to three months, you will see a considerable improvement in your UGAT score.

As per the latest UGAT exam pattern, there is no sectional time limit to attempt different sections of the UGAT question paper. Candidates will be given a total of two hours to attempt the UGAT question paper. Candidates must note that timer and chalk the strategy to attempt the questions accordingly. Candidates will not be given extra time to attempt the UGAT exam. The exam will close automatically when the duration ends. Candidates can switch between the sections to attempt the questions and utilize the exam duration as per their preference for different sections.
