With the ongoing health crisis and lockdowns, it is not easy to form the RC. Teachers suggest that CBSE should allow the schools to form completely virtual committees to prepare CBSE 10th Result 2021.

The private school management in Amritsar has suggested the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) to either postpone the process of preparation of CBSE 10th result 2021 or allow them to make hundred percent virtual teams due to rising cases of Covid19 cases across the country.

While stating that the suggestions given by the board for the constitution of the Result Committee (RC) were risky due to the prevailing pandemic situation, Sahiljit Singh Sandhu, Chairman, Spring Dale Educational Society told media that with the ongoing health crisis and lockdowns, it is not easy to form the RC. He suggested that CBSE should allow the schools to form completely virtual committees, which is the need of the hour.

Another member of society, Sahil, opined that forming virtual committees would prove to be a better option than postponing the result. He added that all teachers were aware of the process and that there isn’t any need to discuss something physically. The signatures could also be replaced by digital signatures, he suggested.

Earlier this month, the Board had released the objective criterion for evaluating CBSE Class 10th students 2021, the result of which will be declared by June 20. For this, the board has asked schools to form an eight-member result committee consisting of principal and seven teachers for finalizing the results. Five teachers from the school should be from Mathematics, Social Science, Science and two languages each, and two teachers from neighbouring schools should be co-opted by the school as the external members of the committee.

Sahil stated that several teachers across the nation had already tested positive for Covid19 and the process of formation of RC and physical meeting could be a trauma for the teaching community. The National Independent Schools Alliance (NISA) had already appraised their concerns to the Chairman, CBSE.
