What is the IGNOU BEd Eligibility Criteria?

From the following pointers candidates can check the detailed eligibility criteria for the IGNOU BEd entrance exam - 

Educational Qualification - Candidates must have a minimum of 50% marks in:

• Bachelor’s Degree: BA, B.Sc., B.Com, or equivalent.
• Master’s Degree: MA, M.Sc., M.Com, or equivalent.

For candidates from reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC/PwD), the minimum marks required is 45%.

Professional Qualification - Applicants must either:

• Have a teaching experience certificate with at least two years of teaching experience from a recognized school.
• They must have a degree or diploma in teacher education approved by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE).

Work Experience

• For teachers who are in-service teachers they must have a minimum of two years of experience in primary, secondary, or senior-secondary schools recognized by the central or state government.

Reservation 

• Reserved category candidates (SC/ST/OBC/PwD) are given a 5% relaxation in minimum marks..

Exclusions

• Candidates without teaching experience or NCTE-approved qualifications are not eligible.
