TN SSLC Grading System Decoded!

Tamil Nadu SSLC Grading System contain grades starting from A1 and downwards towards E. The allocation of grades under Marks secured in 2nd language subject and Marks secured in 1st, 3rd and Non-Language subjects are is different.

For Marks in 1st, 3rd and Non-Language subjects

  • Students securing 91-100 marks in 1st, 3rd and Non-Language subjects get A1 grade.
  • Students securing 81 – 90 marks are given A2 grade
  • Students securing 71 – 80 marks get B1 grade
  • Students securing 61-70 marks get B2 grade
  • Students securing 51-60 marks get C1 grade
  • Students securing 41-50 marks get C2 grade
  • Students securing 35-40 marks get D grade
  • Students securing 0-34 marks get E grade

For Marks in 2nd Language subjects

  • Students securing 90-100 marks get A1 grade.
  • Students securing 79 – 89 marks are given A2 grade
  • Students securing 68 - 78 marks get B1 grade
  • Students securing 57 – 67 marks get B2 grade
  • Students securing 46-56 marks get C1 grade
  • Students securing 35 - 45marks get C2 grade
  • Students securing 20-34 marks get D grade
  • Students securing 0- 19 marks get E grade

How to calculate CGPA in Tamil Nadu SSLC?

  • Add the grade points of each subjects (Total Grade Point - TGP)
  • Multiply the sum by 1.11
  • Percentage = TGP*1.11
