In an exclusive interview with the student of Ramakrishna Vidya Niketan Hr.Sec.School, Chennai, we asked Sopna about her TN SSLC exam preparation strategy, TN 10th topper’s tip for upcoming aspirants, her career plans and more. Hema has scored 98 marks in Mathematics and Social Science subjects, 97 marks in English, 95 marks in both Tamil and Science subjects, i.e. a total of 483 marks out of 500.

The Directorate of Government Examination (DGE) TN released the TN 10th Result 2023 today, May 19, 2023, on the official website, i.e. tnresults.nic.in. Check out some interesting excerpts from the interview below:

TN SSLC Topper Marksheet 2023

Q: Congratulations on your result! How was your reaction after seeing the results? Did you score what you expected?

A: Thank you so much for your wishes.  In the morning, when I woke up I saw my Daddy waiting with sweets, and I puzzled. Later on, I realized that he saw my results. In the meantime, my whole family joined with cheerful voice congratulating me on my results.

Q: Please tell us something about your family background.

A: I have a small lovable family who always encourages my dreams and goals! My father is a daily wager and mother does tailoring work. I have an elder sister who is to join the college this year.

Q: What was your strategy to score above 95%?

A: My strategy was simple, just focus on what is being taught in classroom and do self-study. In addition, revision is the key. Make notes, prepare routine and follow that until exams.

Q: Did you take any online or offline coaching?

A:  I did not take any form of coaching. My School and teachers helped a lot. They were all very encouraging and always approachable to solve our problems.

Q: Who encouraged you the most in this journey?

A: My Family has always encouraged me. The immense faith they have shown in me helped me score well in exams

Q: What was your routine during TN 10th board exam preparation?

A: I used to wake up in the morning and study with fresh mind. I used to make notes of what was being taught in school. I made sure to complete the whole syllabus and do revision before exams.

Q: What are your future plans? Which career path are you aiming?

A: My passion is to make a career in the acting industry. From my childhood, I mesmerize by watching actors giving stage performances, and becoming different characters; all this always made me want to pursue a career in the film industry.

Q: What is your favorite subject?

A: My favorite subject is Mathematics.

Q: Are you planning to begin preparing for any entrance exam?

A: I do not plan to appear for any entrance exam. I am looking forward to complete my studies and start paving path toward my acting career.

Q: What is your dream college/institute?

A: I am targeting a reputed acting institute.

Q: Please share some tips for students prepping up to appear in Tamil Nadu SSLC Exams 2024.

A: I advise the students, that sometimes it is bitter when teachers insists us to read and write, but after the results, the joy is immeasurable. Stay focused towards your goal, prepare well, do not worry about results. Just focus on the hard work, it will bear fruits later on.

TN board provides a correction option to students in case their name is misspelled in the marksheet. Students have to inform the school authorities, if any errors are found the marksheet. They will guide you to get the errors rectified.

Yes, questions are of the same pattern as given in the sample papers. Students must also solve and practice the practice questions and previous years question papers as released by the TN board.

No, TN board does not deduct marks for exceeding the word limit in the board exams. However, marks may be deducted for spelling mistakes and other errors in language papers.

Schools do not have the right to withhold admit card of the studnets for TN class 10th board exam. TN SSLC admit card is issued by the Directorate of Government Examination, Tamilnadu. You can reach out to the TN board, if the school do not provide the admit card.
