BPA or Bachelor of Performing Arts course is an undergraduate course which is related to entertainment act. Performing arts include a range of disciplines that are performed in front of a live audience, such as music, theatre and dance. BPA course comprises of study of elementary study of Hindustani Music, fundamental study of Tals, Stagecraft and Design, Movement Techniques, Basic Concepts of Film Making etc. BPA subjects are designed in a way that students can develop a better understanding of performing arts and various specialisations.

Types of BPA Courses 

BPA course mainly includes Music, Theatre, and Dance. There are various types of subjects taught in BPA course like Folk Music, Indian Dances, Rabindra Sangeet etc. BPA course are of various types. The duration of the course is usually 3-4 years. During this duration, candidates are taught both core and elective courses. In order to get admission to BPA courses, candidates should have passed class 12th exam with a minimum 50% marks from a recognised board.
