AIMA UGAT 2025: Result (OUT), Admit Card, Exam Date, Registration, Syllabus, Pattern

UGAT registration form was released online and the application window was open till June 2025. The application schedule is announced on the official website of UGAT. The AIMA UGAT application process begins with the UGAT registration and application fee payment. Candidates need to submit their UGAT application form before the deadline.

Aspirants will be required to create a login ID and password by using their personal email ID and mobile number and complete the UGAT application process by paying the AIMA UGAT application fee. No, after the UGAT exam is cleared, candidates will have to go through for further selection procedure conducted by the participating institutes. The UGAT scores are accepted various colleges and universities. Candidates need to meet the cutoff criteria of the participating institutes to take admissions. The admission process includes Written Ability Test (What), Group Discussion (GD), and Personal Interview (PI). Other factors such as academic record, work experience, etc. are also considered for admission to various institutes which accept UGAT scores. UGAT score is only the first parameter on which the candidates are shortlisted for admission. The institutes first shortlist the candidates for WAT, GD and PI on the basis of their UGAT scores, marks obtained in Class 12. For the final selection, the institutes take UGAT scores, performance in GD/PI, What, Class 12 marks, work experience, academic diversity and gender diversity are taken into consideration.

UGAT admit cards will be available online which the candidates can download. Candidates can use their login credentials I. e. username and date of birth for the UGAT admit card download. Students must carry a coloured print out of the UGAT admit card with a recent coloured passport size photography affixed to it to the exam centre in order to gain entry at the UGAT exam centre.

During the UGAT registration process, candidates need to select their UGAT exam centre. The candidates can choose upto five UGAT exam centres  for the UGAT exam centre allotment. No, the UGAT exam cannot be given remotely. Every year the UGAT exam is conducted in the paper-based test mode. In 2021, the exam was however conducted in the internet-based test mode because of the coronavirus pandemic. Ever since, the UGAT exam has always been conducted in the paper-based test mode (CBT). To take the exam, candidates have to visit the UGAT exam centre and take the exam offline. They can choose upto five preferred UGAT test cities during the UGAT exam registration. The important documents to be carried to the exam centre include the following:

• Two coloured printouts of the UGAT admit card
• Photos of the candidate affixed to the AIMA UGAT admit card (preferrable the same as the one uploaded in SET application form)
• Valid photo ID proof (issued by the Government of India) such as Passport, Aadhar Card, Driving License, Pan Card, etc.

The UGAT exam is held for two hours or 120 minutes. There is only one slot for the UGAT exam. The candidates need to solve the question paper in 120 minutes and this means that the candidates will have less than a minute to solve each question. Candidates must take care of marking their answers at every step as the moment 120 minutes will get over, the candidates will be asked to stop writing. The UGAT exam is conducted in the morning shift, i.e. from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Also, there is no provision for changing the exam slot. Yes, students who have completely filled the UGAT application form and paid the application fee before the due date can make corrections in the UGAT application form. However, there is a limit to the number of corrections that can be made.

There is a set limit to upload a photograph and digital signatures in the UGAT registration form. The size of the file should be between the prescribed size. Also, the dimensions of the image uploaded should match the ones mentioned in the instructions. If the documents are not in accordance with the prescribed format then the application form can be rejected. Candidates must note that there is a very small form correction window in the UGAT application process, hence they must carefully fill the application form and upload clear scanned copies of the documents.

Yes, the UGAT eligibility criteria is the same for all categories. The candidates should has passed their Class 12 from a recognised board. They must have secured at least 50% aggregate in Class 12. There is no age limit for the candidates to be eligible for UGAT exam. The students who belong to the Foreign Nationals category are not eligible to appear for the AIMA UGAT exam. The AIMA Under Graduate Aptitude Test (UGAT) is conducted once a year, usually in the month of May.
