I would rate it 3 out of 5. I am quite satisfied on a percentile basis.
Placements: I am doing a BE in mechanical engineering at Ajeenkya DY Patil School of Engineering in Pune. It is a decent college according to the cutoff. College is average according to packages. The average package offered in a mechanical engineering course ranges from 3-4 LPA. Many average and some good companies visit the campus. Not all students get good packages on campus, and it is decent according to the cut-off. Companies like Nestled, Wipro, Tata Motors, TCS, and HDFC Life hire students from our college with good packages, but it can also be off-campus.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is very good. Classrooms are also decent, but the auditorium hall is small according to the college and the number of students. The hostel is very good. Security and cleanliness are good in the hostel. The mess is not that good. The college hosts many cultural events and sports tournaments of BGMI, as game downloads happen on campus.
Faculty: Faculty members are not that good, but some teachers are really good and passionate about their job. The college conducts many exhibitions for students to make some creative projects and gives prizes to those who participate. The course curriculum is relevant, and it makes students industry-ready. The difficulty level of semester exams is not that hard. If we have some knowledge and are decent, then we can easily score well in exams just by smart studying 2-3 days before exams.
Other: Plenty of events are organised on a weekly basis.

4.8

Ajeenkya DY Patil College offers a good balance of academics, infrastructure, and campus life.
Placements: Around 70-75 percent of students are placed. The highest package is 8 LPA, average is 3.5 LPA, and lowest is 2 LPA. Top companies are Tata Motors, Mahindra, Bosch, L&T, and Infosys. 60 percent of students got internships at Tata Tech, L&T, Mahindra, etc. Top roles offered are design, production, quality and maintenance engineer.
Infrastructure: Mechanical department has well-equipped labs, modern classrooms with smart boards, high-speed Wi-Fi, and a good central library with updated resources. Hostel rooms are clean and comfortable, with 24X7 security and Wi-Fi. Mess food is average but hygienic. The canteen offers decent variety. Medical facilities are available on campus. Sports grounds are well-maintained with options for cricket, football, and indoor games.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and experienced. Teachers in the mechanical engineering department are very helpful, well-qualified, and knowledgeable. They explain concepts clearly and are always ready to guide students. Teaching quality is good and focuses on practical understanding. The course curriculum is relevant and includes subjects that help in building industry-level skills, though it could include more hands-on projects. Semester exams are moderately difficult if studied regularly. The pass percentage remains around 85-90 percent, showing consistent academic performance.
Other: I chose mechanical engineering because of my interest in machines and design. The best part is practical learning, good lab exposure, and supportive faculty. It needs more industry visits and updated software training. Campus is vibrant with events like Zerone and Freshers. Crowd is friendly, connectivity is good, and extracurricular activities are active with decent scholarship options.

An underrated college but has a lot of potential in upcoming years.
Placements: College has good infrastructure and a good area but lacks city exposure. Companies do visit the campus, but students need to work hard and gather skills. This is based on reviews from our seniors. I have also seen students get salary packages over 12 LPA.
Infrastructure: College has good buildings. Hostel is located inside the college campus. There is a separate cafeteria called Cafe, which also offers a monthly subscription for food, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Boys' and girls' hostels are beside each other, with a gym, open area, and game zone.
Faculty: Curriculum is industry-focused, with practical learning opportunities. Faculty quality varies across departments, with some being highly experienced and others less effective. The curriculum emphasizes skill development but may lack depth in certain areas for research-focused students. It is a good choice for hands-on learners but is worth evaluating for academic rigor.

Overall, college is good, and it is worth pursuing engineering here.
Placements: Around 35 to 40 mechanical engineering students secured placements in various companies. Minimum CTC offered was approximately 3.60 LPA, while the highest salary package offered was 12 LPA. College provides 100% placement assistance to all students. Additionally, they offer internships to enhance students' skills and experience.
Infrastructure: Its mechanical department is good compared to other departments. They provide notes and other study materials from time to time. College also offers free Wi-Fi and 24-hours access to clean, filtered drinking water for students.
Faculty: Faculty members are supportive and have great industrial knowledge. All teachers have over 10 years of teaching experience. They also conduct extracurricular activities like go-karting, industrial visits, and many more. Overall, the staff is excellent.
Other: Events organised by college are excellent. There are numerous events throughout the year, and they are all outstanding.

Satisfied with the overall infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: In the last year batch, almost 70 to 80% students were placed in renowned companies. The highest package of the students from our department was 7 lakh per annum. This year, our students got an internship opportunity from Cummins for the third-year students.
Infrastructure: A lot of facilities are provided in college, such as a good Wi-Fi range which helps to overcome network issues. The best classrooms with sufficient air ventilation and sitting area. The hostel food is best and the rooms also. A huge playground for outdoor games.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful in the overall outcome of the students. Also providing extracurricular activities for the students, such as participation in hackathons and any other competitions. Also conducting visits and workshops for getting trained through industry experts.
Other: I will be passing out in the year 2026 with a mechanical engineering degree. I chose this course because of my interest. It would be better to improve in my course by focusing more on practicals.
