B.E. in Mechanical Engineering - Batch of 2028
3.6
Our college has a good environment and clubs. Students have to work hard.
Placements: Placements are good if we compare with other colleges belonging to Pune. The average package in the year 2023 was around 12 LPA - 14 LPA. The percentage of students who got placed is good. In 2023, around 96% of students got placed in our college.
Infrastructure: We have a small campus, under 30 acres. Hostels are good. The academy block has good infrastructure and it is well-maintained. There is access to Wi-Fi in both the academy block and hostel. The sports facilities are good and for first-year students, it's compulsory to live in hostels.
Faculty: The Army Institute of Technology in Pune is affiliated with Savitribai Phule Pune University. It is set to transition from a non-autonomous institution to an autonomous one in 2025. The facilities at the institute are good, and the courses offered for examination preparation are also of high quality. The curriculum is provided by Savitribai Phule Pune University.

Good College on a Steep Decline Downwards.
Placements: Around 60% of students get placed in the first semester, and the rest are left to be recruited by mass recruiters in the second semester. Since the one-job policy applies to most people who get placed, they are not allowed to sit again for the examination, giving more chances to the rest of the batch. Early companies have an average of about 12 LPA but decrease as time passes.
Infrastructure: The hostel buildings and academic buildings are well constructed, but most of the college is always under construction, with new hostels and multi-purpose rooms being created every day, while also keeping up with the sports infrastructure maintenance. Cleaning is done daily, and fines are imposed for any problems created against this well-keeping.
Faculty: The faculty, curriculum, and exams are collectively dependent on Savitribai Phule Pune University, which is responsible for setting the curriculum (which is rarely changed and has content that has been running for decades). The faculty is average and helps only if you approach them out of the classroom. Most of the grading is done on the basis of attendance.
Other: My batch joined in 2021 with an annual fee of 2.97 Lacs, and it has now grown to 3.64 Lacs. The fests and competitions are very frequent and provide necessary exposure to the students. However, through our tenure, we have seen a trend of growing fines and disciplinary cases.

All about Army Institute of Technology.
Placements: My batch is the 2025 batch. Till November 2024, almost 95 percent from Comp, 90 percent from IT, 85 percent from Entc, and 88 percent from Mechanical are placed. Companies like ZS, Microsoft, Barclays, Mastercard, Deloitte, and Tata Technologies are the main highlights.
Infrastructure: There are 8 hostels, 1 for girls and 7 for boys. The hostels are very neat and clean, with daily sanitation. Every week, sweepers clean the rooms of students. Every hostel is Cisco connected. The library has a reading hall for giving tests and studying.
Faculty: Army Institute of Technology has very qualified professors in their respective fields, with 20+ staff members in each branch. The curriculum for the first year is the same irrespective of the branch. In the second year, the curriculum changes and has 100 marks per subject—30 marks for in-semester and 70 marks for end-semester exams.

Good placements, not very good crowd, average infrastructure and amazing facilities.
Placements: About 90% of students are placed well after graduation. The highest salary offered on campus was 52 LPA by Microsoft, and the lowest was 3 LPA. The average salary is around 10–12 LPA. For my course, the top recruiting companies are Tata, Oracle, and ZS ASSOCIATE. About 70% of students in my course do an internship with companies such as Tata, Oceaneering, and TVS.
Infrastructure: The classrooms have smart boards and well-manufactured benches, and the overall look of the classrooms is nice. The labs are well maintained and have updated PCs. The library is very large and has books in almost every genre. The hostel quality is average, but we get coolers, a bed, and a study table. The mess food is above average, and the hygiene is great. We have all sorts of sports facilities and a great sports environment for all sports.
Faculty: The teachers are well qualified and knowledgeable, but they are not very helpful. The teaching quality is not up to the mark, but the course curriculum is relevant and prepares students for the industry. The semester exams are easy to pass, with a pass percentage of 80%. The pass percentage varies depending on the subject.
Other: I like this college because of its diverse student body. Students come from all over the country, and often form groups based on their home states. This can be annoying for students who don't belong to one of the majority groups. However, the fests are well funded, there are lots of scholarships, and the extracurricular activities are awesome.

It’s a good college only for army wards providing good placement opportunities.
Placements: Almost 98% students got placed. L&T, Sarvatra, MSD, Tata Technologies, Oceaneering, Technific, Quantify, Barclays, TCS and many other companies visit for hiring offering Consultant, SDE and Data analytics roles. Many companies become mass recruiters like ZS, Deloitte, MasterCard, Detchbank, UBS, HSBC bank, etc.
Infrastructure: The college has amazing sports facilities. Hostel, mess, laundry, etc. are the facilities available. There is a barber shop and it’s fee is included in the total fee we pay. There is a medical room for emergency along with a food court, a pizza shop, gym, Atm and boxing club. Squash court, supporting teachers for every sports.
Faculty: The college is going to be autonomous next year. Mid sem exams consist of 30 marks and end sem are of 70 marks. We have viva and internals too. The college is under SPPU currently following the 2019 pattern. Good quality of education is provided here. Scoring good marks is not difficult. There are a few subjects in each semester which you may find difficult.
Other: Many co curricular activities along with amazing fests are held.

Supportive faculty, good placement and good internships.
Placements: Army institute of technology is very good college in Pune for defence wards in the lower percentile as well. Their placement is always above 90%. All branches get good placement, and the highest placement of 21–22 was 1.2 CPA, and 22–23 was 52 LPA. They have many clubs in which you can build your skills, like robotics club, EV club, SAE club, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of this college is very good, and they teach on projects. Their Wi-Fi is also good, with an average speed above 70 MB/s. They have a very disciplined library, as you can study from 8 to 10 PM to build your future. Mess food has many varieties and is very hygienic. In sports, it is very good, and some of the students also reached the national level.
Faculty: The teachers at the Army Institute of Technology are very good, as they are very supportive of students, and they also help you with your internships and placements; they are like your backbone. Only the first-year teachers receive less support, which is the only thing I don't like about this college.
Other: I chose this course because I have scope in this college with a low percentile score of only 89%. Their are many events at this college.

Absolutely satisfied and would recommend to others also.
Placements: I am very glad with the placements at our college and about 97 percent of students get placements from the college itself. The highest package here is 54 lacs and the lowest is 5 lacs. The top recruiting companies are ZS, Amazon, and Microsoft. Students also get internships at a high rate from the college.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is also quite impressive at the college, as the hostels are being provided to students and the facilities provided are also very good. The college provides 24 hours of Wi-Fi, a water facility and mess food that is also good in taste. Sports facility are provided by the college; there is a football field, two basketball courts, etc.
Faculty: Faculty is very supportive in nature and helps students whenever they seeks for help and never complain to help. The semester exams are bit difficult but students work hard by the help of faculty members and get good marks. The teachers are well educated or enough qualified to taech the students .

All about my college AIT Pune.
Placements: The placement of students varies but is always above 90% all time. The highest package offered was around 1.05 crores given to a student placed in Amazon Dublin & Average package is 14-15 Lacs per annum. Top recruiting companies come here like Larsen & Toubro etc. Internship is always based on the skillset you have to show in front of the recruiter and many companies provide internships like microsoft, google etc. There are internship opportunities for content writers too.
Infrastructure: There are various labs present for each department which is obvious it should be there. A library is present with various books available and you can re-issue the books can through the library section present on the main ait website. Facilities available in the hostels are the ones which are to be there like fan for each individual, cooler, bed and a almirah to keep things secure. The quality of food is not too good but neither too bad like okay. There's a MI room present for the students. There are many sports to play with individual grounds for each sport like tennis court, squash court, football ground, Cricket ground etc.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful, have a good knowledge about the subject but because of lack of teaching experience aren't able to deliver it completely to the students. The course curriculum is followed according to the university with which the college is affiliated (SPPU). And it makes the students industry ready as they have complete their assignments and all work on time & keep up with the other students. The semester exams are easy if anyone follow his/her studies regularly. The pass percentage is a minimum level of marks (30%) of the overall marks.
Other: I chose this course as I had a little interest towards machines and as this was my plan B so I am following the same. Something can be better in the college like the college campus area can be increased more and facilities being provided should be increased. There are various events happening the whole year which keeps the students learning something or the other and gives them place to explore in every field. The campus is all over surrounded with greenery which makes it nice.

You are chances are very slim so don't just sit and wait for this seat , look out for other options you have and in case you're lucky you may get the seat in the spot round, but it's highly unlikely.
