B.Tech. in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering - Batch of 2028
3.8
A college with a great campus, excellent facilities, and decent placements but an average hostel.
Placements: The placement in the college was above average. Around 80% of the students were placed in companies such as PhonePe, Nvidia, and other big teach giants. The average CTC package was 7-8lpa specifically in my branch (I. e. ENTC). Since internships are compulsory in sem 6, most students have gotten internships. The largest stipend was from Nvidia which was 45,000 rupees.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the campus is excellent with Wi-Fi almost everywhere. Our labs are well-equipped with all the necessary instruments. The library is medium-sized and has a wide variety of books. All classrooms have digital smart boards for teaching along with whiteboards. Benches could be of better quality. Now, the hostel is a little small in size, with three sharing rooms and an attached bathroom. The mess food is not great. Hostel rooms and bathrooms are cleaned periodically. The sports facility is amazing. Almost every sport is present on campus.
Faculty: Faculty members are very good and helpful. All of them are very qualified and Ph.D holders in various fields. The course curriculum is relevant, but it could be beneficial if it is a little more industry-oriented. Semester exams are of moderate level and are fairly made. The pass percentage is around 80-70%.
Other: I chose this course because it has the best mix between coding and hardware. I think the course could include a little more industry-oriented learning. Many annual events are held around October to January. There are things like tech fests, comedy shows by big comedians, music, and more. The campus is located on the outskirts of Pune, so it may be a little difficult to commute. Many sports events also take place.

Placement is good and the study material is top notch .
Placements: The placement is quite good, and the average is also quite good as compared to other colleges, and new start-up companies also come here to recruit you. The highest goes up to 20 LPA and the lowest is around 3 - 5 LPA. Most of them get placed.
Infrastructure: Our college is covered by their Wi-Fi connection, which has good speed, and the labs for computer science, artificial intelligence, and machine learning are well air-conditioned. The canteen is okay, but good enough to eat, and the library is also good.
Faculty: Teachers are usually highly qualified, have good teaching skills, and have good study material for students to refer to. The curriculum is relevant, and I guess it will make us industry-ready. The exams are moderate; some are difficult, and some don't.

SIT - A comprehensive review.
Placements: The placement rate at our college is more than 90%. There is a placement cell in our college that helps students get placed or bag internships. They call the companies on our campus for placements. EnTC students get placed in both software jobs and hardware jobs.
Infrastructure: There are an adequate number of labs as per the curriculum. Most of these labs are equipped with the required equipment; some of them have ACs. The whole campus has Wi-Fi, including the mess, hostel, and canteen, and the speed is also very good. The library has more than 1500 books, and they provide online library access to students, where we can get books from other college libraries as well. Hostels are equipped with beds, a cupboard, a table, and attached washrooms. The rooms are clean. A laundry service is also available. But the rules are strict, and there is a warden as well. In the common area of the hostel, there is necessary equipment, like a fridge and an electric kettle, for students to use. The food in the mess is average, but there is variety, and non-vegetarian food is cooked two days a week. Apart from that, Symbiosis has its own hospital and provides medical insurance to students. Their hospital is equipped with most types of doctors, and there is a medicine shop as well. There is a basketball, volleyball, lawn tennis court, football turf, and mud ground. Every year, a sports festival is organised.
Faculty: The teachers are Ph.D. holders, and they are very friendly. Their cabins are open all the time during college hours, and anyone with any doubt, discussion, or suggestion can reach them in their cabins or even mail them. The course curriculum is very relevant. The course equips students with adequate knowledge, but at last, it depends on the student how far they can capture the knowledge and benefit from it. The semester exams are moderately tough. The pass percentage is around 85%. Internal components are taken as per the scheduled time, which is announced at the start of the semester.

Review of Symbiosis Institute of Technology, Pune.
Placements: About 98% of students are placed every year. The highest salary package is 50 LPA this year and the lowest salary package offered is 5 LPA, and the average salary package offered is 14 LPA. There are mass recruiters in the college for which students are paid around 3 LPA - 5 LPA generally. Still, there are many opportunities except placements like hackathons, contests, etc.
Infrastructure: Network connectivity is extremely good and the infrastructure of the college is premium. The mess food is better than average. There are varieties every week. Food is served 4 times a day. There is a badminton court, volleyball court, cricket, football, etc.
Faculty: Faculty members in our college are average like other colleges. The teaching method is average. Some teachers are exceptional while some are below average. But mostly, you've to study on your own for rest of the things as everything is not taught or included in the curriculum. But it can be modified according to the students needs.
Other: The campus is extremely good and filled with diverse people as well as flora and fauna.

It is an emerging college in the field of engineering.
Placements: I was a student of electronics and telecommunication in the 2017-2021 batch. In our batch, there was a placement rate of around 50% since most of the batchmates had opted for higher studies. A few core companies, along with IT service companies like Persistent Systems, MiniOrange, Precisely and other major brands, including Media.net, Amazon, VOIS and Deloitte, visited here for recruitment. The highest salary package offered was 7.5 LPA, and the average salary package offered was around 4 LPA-5 LPA. There was 100% internship guidance from the department. Every student got an internship for 6 months in top organisations including Tata Motors, BSNL, DRDO, ISRO and many others.
Infrastructure: There are specific labs designed not only for the curriculum but also for the practical implementation of knowledge. Hostel facilities are really good here, and the food makes you really feel you are at your home. Football, volleyball, cricket and lawn tennis are a few sports which students regularly practice.
Faculty: There was a good set of faculty members with good experience in the industry as well as in teaching. Faculty members are always in contact with industry experts to make us learn about new trends and technologies being used in the industry. Almost every faculty member has a master's degree, and more than half of them are either have a PhD in core fields or are pursuing PhD from top institutions. The course is designed with the practical implementation of knowledge with projects and industry visits. Faculty members are always available for students and their doubts.

The campus, teaching quality and surroundings are good and satisfactory.
Placements: I am from batch 2018-22, B.Tech in electronics and telecommunication department. 60% of students got placed in my department with an average package of about 5-6 LPA. The highest package went up to 12 LPA. Companies like Infosys, Publicizes Sapient, TCS, and Deloitte were the top recruiting companies.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure and facilities were up to the mark. We had everything, including classrooms, labs, sports ground, mess, hostels for both boys and girls. The hostels are way better than what people usually imagine about any hostel. The quality of food in mess was also good, which included both veg and non-veg as per our convenience. Just beside, there is a hospital for all kinds of treatment.
Faculty: The teachers in SIT are well qualified. They are really helpful in case of any doubts regarding subjects or any project. Semester exams were moderate. The pass percentage is 40% at SIT. For the first and second year, the teachers are good in terms of communication and teaching. The curriculum is all good. Students also get hands-on experience as we have labs with all facilities and equipment. We have programming languages, and we also have courses to learn and apply. The teachers here are always encouraging and help us with our doubts and sessions. The course is taught thoroughly by the institution. The teachers are always available for students who need their undivided attention. We are encouraged to do online courses and a number of activities.
Other: The electronics and telecommunication course covers a vast field of knowledge regarding core electronics as well as IT. The best thing is students can also appear for placements in IT companies. The campus and surroundings are pretty good. We have different kinds of fests and extracurricular activities, including tech-fest, sports fest, music, dance etc.
