Honest review of VIIT Pune.

Placements: About 70 to 80 percent of students get placed in there final year and the remaining students go on to higher studies. The course has the highest package of 13 lacs and the average package of 4.5 lacs. Top recruiting companies like Kirloskar, Tata Autocamp, Tata Tech, and Atlas Copco came for campus placements. 60 to 70 percent of students get internships in the final year.

Infrastructure: The college has good infrastructure. Classes are well-maintained with projectors. Labs and workshops have all the equipment and machinery. Good-quality mess is available near the college. The college canteen will provide hygienic food. Inter-collegiate activities are organized in December on college grounds.

Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified; some are Ph.D. holders and M.Tech. from reputed colleges. They encourage students to work on research papers, patents and copyrights. The course curriculum is well designed and industry-related, making students industry-ready. The difficulty level of the exam is moderate. We can pass easily by referring to lecture notes.

Other: I am always passionate about mechanical instruments and automobiles. We have to gain more and more practical knowledge in this course. There will be a variety of events at the college. Gandharva is the annual fest of the college, which is seven days long. In the college, there are various clubs organized by students for students like MESA, Vishwa racers, EDC VIIT, TEDx VIIT, Robocon, etc.

Placements: In the mechanical engineering department, about 80 to 90 percent of students get placed in their final year. The course has the highest package of 13 lacs and an average package of 4.5 lacs. Top recruiting companies like John Deere, Kirloskar Pneumatics, Dassault Systems, Atlas Copco, etc. came for campus placement. Nearly 70 percent of students get internships in companies like Windals Precision, Inditech Valves, GEA, etc.

Infrastructure: The department has a separate building. All classrooms are well maintained with benches and projectors. The library has all the curriculum and competitive exam books. The college doesn't have a hostel facility and the mess is available near the college and the canteen is also where we get well-hygienic food.

Faculty: Faculty members are very helpful, well-qualified and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is very good. Teachers help with the projects and preparing for competitive exams. The course curriculum is relevant to industry and students get from it. Semester exams are easy to moderate; we can easily pass by doing lectures.

Other: I have always been interested in this course. The college has organized many events, competitions, and hackathons. Gandharva is the main annual event of the college. We will get scholarships by applying on mahdbt portals.
